Kind of looks like a crocodile, but in South Wales ?, not likely.

Linkifaction

Whatever it was has been drifting around for a while as it appears to have been washed up extremely well up towards the high water mark.

To be honest it's difficult to tell which end is the front. Is it possibly a highly decayed Nessie ?

At least is probably not transgender. What says ATS ?.

Kind Regards

When they are washed up on a beach, dead, at least they don't require separate bathrooms.

... or do they (Twilight Zone music)?

The tale looks like a gator or croc.

It appears to have the skull of a cetacea. Observing from more images provided in other sources. That can range from dolphins, porpoises, and whales-non baleen-due to the teeth.

Whale or shark carcass. The soft tissue (all the guts, skin etc) has been eaten or rotted leaving only the skull, the spine and some Dismorphic looking chunks of flesh.

Of course, it could be a mutant whale or shark.
Pretty hard to tell in its current state, but the OP could be correct.

The vertebrae look more like a whale to me. The picture is a little confusing because at first glance there appear to be the bones of two detached limbs but upon closer inspection, I believe they're just pieces of wood. I'm also not seeing anything that looks like a pelvis where the hind limbs would attach.

Yes agreed, the "limbs"are burnt pieces of wood. However with that said and considering the state of the skeleton, there maybe no pelvic bones remaining on the skeleton.

The following is a list of possible candidates;

Bottle Nose Dolphin, Minke Whale, Sei whale, Finwhale, Dolphin, Orca, Rissos dolphin and Basking Shark, Porpoise, Loch Ness Monster.

Expert opinions are mixed;

Maybe shark since the cartilage rots off easily leaving pretty much just the spine, pectoral and skull. A whale woukd have ribs too.

But that poor thing is in such a decrepit state it could be a dead washed ashore baby gamera for all we know. Dna testing would solve it in a second or examining a cross section of the vertebra

Looks like my plate after rib night.

identification would be aided if the fooking pictures were a little less obtuse

Yeah, a half decent shot of the other end would have been handy, who would have thought eh ?.

It's kind of the still equivalent of a shaky hand held UFO video (UFO - read small pin point of light in the sky).

Oooo wait until the "cryptid's" ghost starts haunting the area.. .THEN we'll be able to identify it!!

Based on the area it washed ashore, I'm guessing either whale or porpoise. I really hope it's Nessie, but I'm not holding my breath.
