Good day Shedizens!

I am back after a week of very trying kitty sitting, during which I got approximately seven hours of sleep total! Mischievous kitty cats kept wrecking things at my friends place, and so I diligently went round fixing everything they broke, up ended, or hid places that they ought not be. Every time my head hit a pillow, I would hear something else go bang, or crash, or splat, and have to go and see what the devil was going on. I actually wound up with visual disturbance at one point, the ceiling at which I was staring appearing to expand away, and all at once, toward my PoV. That is how little sleep I had last week...

I have now had a few days to recover, have a couple of beers and some hearty nosh, and come before you all now in the finest possible fettle.

How fare ye all?

I love spiders. They are technically perfectly adapted to kill their prey, and the various ways they know to get the job done, across the many different species of spider that are out there, are staggering in number. They are also very pretty, even the ones which are simply brown and unassuming. From an engineering perspective they are absolutely beautiful.

I have been known to not speak to a person for weeks over them bashing spiders to death with their shoes.
