Never be scared to speak your mind. I'm done worrying about people's feelings.

five years before i was born wow. But not wow.

I'll only say you'll probably change your mind many times over by the time you reach my age.

I was once a pretty straight Christian that even considered being a minister.

Life shows you many things.

Truer words have never never been spoken. Perspective is a curious thing isn't it?

I find your lack of compassion for Christians puzzling given the fact that you possess this wisdom.

I have compassion for good people, if they be Christian, Muslim, Buddhists, Wicca, atheist, etc.

I do not accept religion as a political tool. Our laws should be secular. If you are a business owner, you do business.

The problem here is... Those very same republicans who make laws and ok other sh't, are the same repubs/dems/freaks who ordinary people look up to and agree with when they pass laws that sh't on the majority.

See where i'm going with this?

No matter, Trump will win and Normalacy will continue, along with everyone else, who have continued since the beginning of time, minus ancient Rome who consequently fell due to their hrmm, habits.

It was never an issue before, it should never have been made into one by obongo. He creates more division and 'sht' than a toilet.

If you're supporting Trump, you've clearly got no cause to be complaining about anyone else being "divisive."

If Trump wins it will be because unfortunately large numbers of left-leaning voters think that not voting for Clinton will send a message to the DNC. It's the absolute worst election for it as anywhere from 1-3 SCOTUS justices will need to be appointed during the next administration.

Presidents come and go, SCOTUS appointments are for life.

This whole issue is really just America is behind the times.

In the UK, they actually have men's and women's section in ONE bathroom. You can even see other members of the opposite sex through glass partitions.

This is just one example, here's another WILD example Here in the US.

Men and Women already share a bathroom, it's called that single toilet restroom you've run into at a cafe, diner or office somewhere, not to mention the bathroom at the doctors office is a UNISEX bathroom.

I'm tired of basically people fearing their own shadows.

Did you know it's still against the law to flash your lady parts in the lady's room in front of other ladies? So why wouldn't the same be said for a transgender male to do the same? So what's your worry here? That you didn't teach your children to A, not talk to strangers, and B, how to spray someone in the face with mace if they try any funny business?

Don't try to bubblewrap the rest of the world. because you're not trying hard enough the right way being a parent.

It's called commonsense America, let's have some.

Just because the Brainwashing worked on you doesn't mean people in North America are gonna fall line hook and sinker for it.

the UK has also failed miserably in the Education department, people are FAR Less Intelligent now than when my parents were in school there. In fact it's embarrassing just how low people of my own heritage 'ENGLAND, have become. It's not just Unbelievably Sad, it's Sick.

And no, i dont mean SICK as in cool like you freakish little imps think of it in modern day terms.

just saying.

NO offense bud but I think you are very wrong. While I don't worry to much about a full grown man walking into a ladies room and taking advantage of someone, I do believe that it could be a big issue if it did happen. It's like people who live behind guns. Guns don't solve your problems unless you are in a situation in your advantage.

I don't know many girls that can over power a man without the situation being in their favor to begin with.

A single toilet bathroom is that ... A SINGLE TOILET??? That has nothing to do with this topic. Were not talking about germaphobes who are afraid to sit on the seat after some one else.

What does Christianity have to do with this? I honestly haven't even seen much of the whole religion aspect being brought into this whole situation and I could be very wrong as I am sick of watching the news lately. All you hear is Trump, Clinton and Bathroom for 8 hours straight.

I have an honest question to you Annee because I want to hear your thoughts on it. Lets pretend were in a alternate world where everything up to this point of right here and right now was the EXACT same BUT there was no such thing as religion. What would you predict would be happening and what would happen?

Last time I checked we lived in America where the votes of many outweigh the votes of the few?

Actually the United States is supposed to be a democratic republic, the founding fathers knew that a pure democracy wasn't enough. Winston Churchill famously said "The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter". Some times it's simply better to let the experts handle important issues and not leave it in the hands of the masses. Having said that, I don't at all agree with the notice Obama recently issued to schools. There's only one situation where I would say it's ok, and that's if the transgender child has had a full genital conversion into the opposite sex. If they have gone that far then I say they deserve to be a part of the other gender. Otherwise, they should use the toilet assigned to their biological gender, because male toilets are designed for males and female toilets are designed for females. However I have absolutely nothing against transgender people and I don't see them as a reason why "America is slowly falling apart". That is just a complete exaggeration, there are much more pressing issues to deal with.

I made a few comments about this particular issue in another thread which summarizes what is going on in "this age of madness".

Here is one of my comments responding to another ATS member who in general stated:

originally posted by: ladyvalkyrie

Your rights end where mine begin. If you want to be religious, do it in church. If you want to be conservative, do it in the voting booth. It's so wrong to force your beliefs on others whose beliefs are different.
...
Forcing your BELIEFS on other people is not religious freedom. True freedom is: you are free do live your life as you see fit, and others are free to live their lives as they seem fit. You don't have to like opposing views, but you really should try to respect them.

Here is my response:

Except that religious freedom itself is being attacked, and the freedom of people in general is also being attacked.

One thing is to teach children, and for people to respect each other's opinion. A completely different thing is to mandate government opinion.

Religious freedom has been attacked when what has been a religious practice of marrying a man and a woman was ordered by the government to include same sex marriage. Why change a religious ceremony that has existed for thousands of years? Why didn't the gay community make up their own ceremony, but instead wanted to change the one which existed for thousands of years into what they wanted.

I believe people can be with whomever they want to, it's nobody's business. But I also believe that the gay community shouldn't have hijacked marriage to impose their will on everyone else.

The freedom of choice of people should stay with each and every person. But mandating that all children of one sex should be okay with children of the opposite sex to go into their bathrooms is another affront and fight to destroy conservative values.

That's the end goal of this movement. It is not about being accepted, it is about completely destroying values that they don't identify with, and they want to impose their own values on everyone else.

Yes, people should be respectful of each other, but government mandated opinion of what is a small fraction of the population upon the rest, is an affront to freedom.

Then another proclaimed:

originally posted by: AnneeReligion should never have had a stranglehold on this country in the first place.

It's not being attacked - - - its power is being diminished because it should be.

We are not a Theocracy - - - we are a Secular Democratic Republic

To which i responded:

A secular Republic which was founded under the principle that people are free to exercise their religion as they see fit. Yet we see the government now undermining this freedom and claiming values which have existed for over 200 years in this nation should not exist, and instead government mandated opinion should exist.

There are already cases in which some gay people want to bring lawsuits against different religious churches for not wanting to accept the government mandated opinion.

Millionaire Gay Couple Sues to Force Church Wedding
10:00AM EDT 8/20/2013

Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow have launched a legal challenge to the right of churches to opt out of gay weddings. (Surrogacy-UK/Wikimedia/Creative Commons)

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Millionaire gay couple the Drewitt-Barlows have confirmed they have launched a legal challenge to the right of churches to opt out of gay weddings.

In fresh comments published by the Chelmsford Weekly News in the U.K. today, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow said legal action had started.

Weve launched a challenge to the governments decision to allow some religious groups to opt out of marrying same-sex couples," he said.

“We feel we have the right as parishioners in our village to utilize the church we attend to get married.

“It is no reflection on our local church, who have been nothing but supportive towards us. We understand their hands are tied by a higher group of people within the church.”

Earlier this month, Drewitt-Barlow said he and his civil partner, Tony, would go to court to force gay weddings on churches.
...

www.charismanews.com...

That's not counting the fact that any church defined as "for-profit" are also being forced to perform same sex marriage.

Some other LGTB groups want for all churches to lose their tax exempt status if they do not perform same sex marriages.

EXCLUSIVE - LGBT GROUP: SHUT CHURCHES DOWN!
April 01, 2015

Today, in a stunning statement, Jeran Artery, Chairman of Wyoming Equality argued that churches who do not support same sex marriage should lose their tax exempt status.

"Churches that lobby to have freedoms and rights taken away from ANYONE should absolutely have their 501(c)3 status revoked!!"

Talk about tolerance, freedom of speech, and religious freedom. Disagree with Artery's views of same sex marriage and your church will be shut down.

Gone are the days of pluralism. This is what tyranny looks like.

Wyoming Equality, Artery's organization, seeks to enhance the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in the Equality State by providing: Education, Information, Activities, Support, a Networking System, and an Advocacy System for people impacted by gender and sexual orientation issues.

www.conservativecolorado.com...

Now we have the government mandating that all children should be okay with having children of the opposite sex in their bathroom.

Yes, there is an obvious and blatant affront to religious freedom, and to impose the values and views of a group of people upon the rest.

Oh I see... Let's try this with an analogy.

So, if let's say the government suddenly mandated all Hindus to stop viewing cows as being sacred, and the government mandates them to simply accept the new government mandated version that cows are not sacred It shouldn't cross the mind of Hindus that the government is simply attacking their religion?...
