No, because we know that socialism leads to communism, lenin said it, and we know that communism is based on socialistic ideals like redistribution of wealth and giving up our pie so that others can have more(MIchelle O), its just that socialism still uses corporation and others people money whereas communism involves total ownership of the means of production by the State(although the ploy is to call it the worker ownership but the workers by the very definition of it all are owned by the State, and statist totalitarian John Dewey the pedagogical developer of our current public ed agreed people exist for the state and as such should obey the state and sacrifice their personal self for the common good)

oh yah and Lenin and Marx both mixed the two terms together in their ideologies and speeches. Even Trotsky talked about how the soviet union never really achieved total communist status but that socialism is but the lower level of communism ...
