Migraines, IBS, digestive diseases, some skin reactions, muscle pain, fatigue...etc...etc...etc

Things that are chronic with no known explanation or diagnosis, are usually classified and 'syndromes'.

The medical field usually uses the term 'syndrome' to explain something, they cannot explain.

Because they never look at emotional states or Autonomic imbalance due to suppressed emotional states.

I think you are overly terse.

I think more folks would be interested and potentially benefit if you elaborated more--particularly on your last sentence above.

Look, instead of me sitting here and giving you a lecture.

Why not just look up the people I mentioned. They have everything laid out and entire courses on the matter. There's even free forums to join. Hundreds of thousands have been helped from chronic pain conditions. Help is out there. I simply told you where to look.

Good luck

I understand.

If I needed such treatment, I'd likely look such up.

However, many folks--who know those needing help--would click on a link you might provide--but not go the extra trouble to search out such links themselves.

Anyway--Thanks for what you have shared.

Cheers.

I assumed you were a sufferer. My mistake

No biggy.

I just like to offer what I can (from stuff I come across in my vast scanning of several sources) that might help relieve suffering regardless of who the suffer(s) is(are).

You have been helpful.

Thanks.

I have had what my doctors call fibro since 2002. my doctors now do not want anything to do with testing me for anything else.

The problem is new research is showing about 50% of those DXed with fibro really have small fiber polyneuropathy.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...
en.wikipedia.org...
www.painresearchforum.org...
www.healthrising.org...

I have sarcoidosis and small fiber polyneuropathy is a common co-morbid disorder.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

By the way HBOT also works for small fiber polyneuropathy.

That means this Dr Sarno is likely wrong but his treatment may still work.

Out of curiosity does your wife suffer from chronic migraines as well.

No, headaches are not a problem for her.

That's interesting.
How long has she been afflicted with the condition?
What % would she label her degree of relief from her diet changes?

I'd say the issue of random pain and sleep disorder ramped up over the last decade. Her diet changes led to substantial weight loss (in a good way) as well. She's not here right now to provide a % ...I'll add that later. But it started with a visit to a naturopath who does Live Blood Analysis. Yes, some call it quackery, but the results have been good and even her nurse practitioner has taken an interest.

Sounds good. Congrats.

Have wondered about that blood analysis. A Doc here does it.

The Chinese did that sort of thing.

Thanks for your kind post.

She says that between her chiropractor and the changes in diet, she's up to about 80% efficiency. Not completely 'normal', but hugely better. Good luck.

What I don't understand is how "fibromyalgia" is even diagnosed...it's not a mechanical disease, like diabetes...it's only really represented as "chronic pain"...

How do you treat chronic pain? Well depends who you ask...but there are lots of ways...Hydrotherapy is a great start...if it's muscle pain, massage therapy is a great second...Skeletal/postural deviations causing pain? Might go see a chiropractor...Chronic stress is also a leading factor in chronic pain symptoms...I like to tell clients there are 6 really great ways to deal with stress, 1)massage 2)enjoying nature 3)exercise 4)good food 5)good music and 6) great sex....clients can almost always do at least 1 or a multiple of these...

It all depends on what is causing the pain though...I tend to look at fibromyalgia more as a symptom than a disease....Stop the cause and you stop the pain....then it's just a matter of retraining the proprioceptors (I'm a massage therapist)

A2D

(As a sidenote: It's estimated that 40-70% of runners suffer from a leg length inequality[not sure on the estimates for non-runners, but I do know it's similar] This puts extra strain on the patellofemoral and talocrural joints as well as any muscle tissue related to movement in the lower limbs....quads, hams, glutes, iliopsoas, even adductors in some cases...not only does it affect the lower body but the inequality travels all the way up...causing compensation all the way up to the head and neck in most cases..If one's left femur is shorter than the right...the pelvis is going to be tilted...which means the brain is going to want to center everything to the horizon a la the righting reflex....so you can see how 1 "little" thing can cause pain all over the body....and about 80% of those who suffer from structural inequalities don't even know it....)

I read one doctor saying hydrogen peroxide/oxygen would cure around 80% of all diseases, I am currently helping someone at the moment who has got fibro and have got her to buy a cool mist humidifier and am just waiting for her to get some hydrogen peroxide so will let you know if that works for her or not.
