It is his father with Oswald. The issue was the insinuation he was involved in the assassination of JFK. Since we have no clue who killed JFK....

I heard the dad deny it on the news, he says he wasn't in New Orleans during that time frame.

Are you saying this is why he dropped out?
He was afraid of continued scrutiny about this?
hmmmm

Bingo!
Someone should make a thread about this. Could be accurate.

Interestingly enough CNN talked about his father - Oswald. They said it severely knocked Cruz off his game in Indiana but never expounded as to why it had that effect.

Maybe he was expecting them to ask if his father also knew where the missing Malaysian airliner was too? Insinuating it was still in the black hole? I'm sure his father was piloting it.

Sarcasm aside why would a story labeled as not true affect Cruz and why would CNN say it affected Cruz?

hmm.... maybe.... they just wanted to drive us nuts thinking into it?

Good way to keep conspiracy theorists busy and off your back about other things - drop a hint about a JFK conspiracy the same day a candidate involved in the hint is going to drop out of the presidential race.
That should keep us busy for a while

Will somebody please check on Glenn Beck??

He is probably already dangling from a rafter in the attic.

I starred that, but it was more of a reaction to what charolais said. What you said is not nice at all.

It isn't that I wish he would, just that he is a nutbag and it wouldn't surprise me at all, the way he was stumping for Cruz.
It was like Cruz was the second coming of Christ to him.
I know that he must be devastated.

Oh hell yeah!

Him and Dana and Pat and Stu were insane about it! I subscribe to the blaze and only can listen to buck and toni.

I've never seen anything like it. Way over the top.

I'll stay to see what he is on about in the general.

I am surprised that Ted dropped out, must be the money guys pulled the plug.

Kasich, wtf? What planet is he on?

Wow, what happened to the contested convention Cruz had been threatening the past six months?

The unpledged delegates were starting to question Cruz's tactics (essentially buying them up) and they became nervous about interfering in a process where the people were choosing someone other than Cruz.

I think reports of the GOP's death are exaggerated.

It still holds way too much power at the state and local levels. I don't see it losing that anytime soon.

I also don't see people bowing to one party rule lightly. They rebelled against one party rule in a big way last time it happened early in Obama's first term. People are upset because they were promised an end to that and a turn around and they didn't get it despite major Congressional changes.

If the GOP is being forced to eat Trump now, it's because they didn't deliver and people know the Democrats won't deliver.

That's exactly what happened.
Reports the last few days were that delegates were backing out on deals with Cruz.
It would have broken the party for good if they stole the nomination.

I really thought it would go to Cruz. All the talk of Trump not playing the game correctly, but maybe Cruz is the one who blew it.

Now watch Trump praise Cruz as a worthy opponent after trashing him since the race began....

Donald is the ultimate Machiavellian. It's beautiful in a sick and twisted way....

American politics rocks....

Except they couldn't steal the nomination. They were bound for that first ballot. They had to vote for Trump there. Then the rules have always said the second ballot is open.

Trump knows this process as well as anyone else. He could play delegate tag the same as anyone else.

So, now that Lucifer in the flesh has exited the building, does this mean Trump will get the Republican nomination?

Who else is left in the GOP that is of any real competition?

Cruz didn't threaten that the GOP did, does anyone actually voting for trump know how an election cycle works?

Yes,
Priebus said Trump is the presumptive nominee.
They are now going to try to keep the party together.

The party needs to be killed.

It no longer represents true conservative values and the fact Trump did so well proves it

If all the candidates who dropped out gave their delegates to Cruz he could still be in the race. That is until California were trump was ahead of other Republicans. It would have kept a person in longer until Trump hit the magic numbers.

I dont think there are any republicans who could beat trump. I think we are seeing the beginning of the "revolution" we all talk about where the voters get fed up with politicians.

I think Deez Nutz moved up a few notches with this news.
Could be some hope there, I don't know.
