Absolutely. Corporations that pay their employees a less than liveable wage need to seriously be held accountable. They are allowed to lay poverty wages while the executives continue to get multimillion dollar bonues even while cutting jobs and benefits to the peasant class.

I wonder if Patty Personality is aware that the majority of folks She works WITH, and not FOR, are also recipients of food stamps, this is because Her employer, The Walton Cabal, schedule most workers 32 hours a week so they can have their health insurance covered by the ACA and they can also work them up to 8 hrs. of 'overtime' before it starts counting on the big clock (time.5)

I'd route this to one of the Waltons but they're out West buying all the family owned ranches and farms for the water rights and they're using U.S. Taxpayer money to do it.. (welfare ranchers)

It seems the Waltons et al. are the most guilty of using other folks' dough to further pad their personal wealth.

I understand the woman's frustration, but randomly insulting and confronting someone in a line at Wal-Mart is out of line and rude. She does not know this guy's situation so it is awfully presumptuous of her to be accusing him of being a freeloader.

With that said, I get where she is coming from. Fraud is rampant and the system has basically bred a bunch of freeloaders who take no responsibility for their choices in life all while expecting the rest of us to subsidize them.

Granted, but treating the symptom never gets to the root cause of the problem. These people are a symptom of problems at federal and state levels of government. Start cutting the welfare at those levels, and put that money back in peoples pockets, and the symptoms will start to fade.

Food stamps were to be almost completely abolished some years ago.It was part of an odd Republican bill that also included farm subsidies. Many states applied for waivers. And they reapplied every year or 2. They know people would starve, otherwise. Religious and secular food pantries say they are in a state of emergency in many places. They do not have enough to feed people in their neighborhoods. A huge amount of states were not able to get that waiver this year. A few counties within states were able to, but not many. People who are unemployed or underemployed will not just have to prove they are looking for work, but actually work 80 hours a week to keep food stamps. If they can't find a job...tough. There are very few exceptions. I am not surprised you have not seen it yet, but you will.

One of the larger problems of modernity is that everyone feels entitled to their own opinions. Especially if they refute their oppositions "facts."

The other problem is that people think having an opinion and loudly telling everyone within earshot what that opinion is, over and over, is not only "right," but "good."

That's why one of my favorite sayings is: "Go lay by your dish."

This 'fraud is rampant in the system' is a right wing talking point. When investigated, it was found that the number was just about as high as voter fraud...which is about .0000000000001%

The fraud that was mainly found was small shop owners that were ringing up things other than food as food.


USDA website and the FBI website will educate you on that.

There is always a troll in every thread nowadays.


Even on something such as this, which we should all agree is disgusting...

That's what I was wondering. They must have been talking about it before the other person started filming. Or videoing. Or celling. Whatever it's called now, but yeah. He didn't food stamp until the end.

I don't think that angry woman has any filters and she just says what she thinks. I've heard it's a virtue nowadays.

Maybe there was a casual conversation on food prices before the video started? Not sure.

And yes, that thing about being mean and unfiltered, I hear it is a fad of some type if not thought of as a virtue.
