I managed to do a power of work on my old camper van over the weekend!
Got the rust spots ground, sanded and painted yesterday, and today did a full cutting of the old paintwork, (to help the new paint blend in). Thankfully, the weather was unusually SCORCHIO!
I now have a lovely looking van again.... and a sunburned neck! LOL

Yesterday was funny... I was just finishing the final top-coat of clear laquer when Chrissie comes over and says that our friends have booked a table in the local restaurant and invited us to join them!
"Yeah, sounds good!" I say... "When is the table booked for?"
"Early! - About 5-30" says Chrissie..

I look at my watch and it's 4.45pm! I am still in my manky old boiler suit, and I'm covered in paint and fillers and general debris from working on the van all day... but it's "do-able!"

So, I start tidying up RAPIDO stylee!! and Chrissie goes down to the restaurant to confirm that we'll join them...
THEN she comes back up to me and says... "They need the table to be free again by 7pm, so we have to be seated by 5.15!!!"
It is now 4.55pm... Don't Panic!!

Suffice to say that we made it on time!
Clean, fresh, changed and lookin' HOT! LOL
Dinner was lovely. Friends were in fine form.
Tonight?
Bottle of Chilean Merlot has been cracked open...
Andy won the Tennis.
I am one happy, but tired, bunny.

Mid-May...and it's freezing cold and snowing.

Tired, but happy at a weekend well spent!

I even managed to get the boys out in the field before dinner...
Flying our Pump-Action Air-Powered Model Airplane!
I got "Longest Flight" award of about 100Metres!
Callum got 2nd with about 85M (Because his hit a hedge at the bottom of the field!!! LOL)
It's not R/C or anything!!! Just pump it up... spin the propeller... and let it goooooo>>>>>>>>>>>

Glad you had such a nice weekend.

I just got home with groceries, and everybody's bitching about the weather. Now I'm cozy on the sofa with tea and a blanket...and no responsibilities for the rest of the day! Woohoo!
