Some sort of explosive force was responsible for blasting the large pieces of structural steel several hundred feet horizontally with sufficient energy to impale into the American Express building.

It appears you don't understand gravity.
Well Hello Bruce! Hows your evening going Bro? By the way, did you ever see the clip showing the molten metal pouring out the side of the building before it fell? I believe I saw that clip on here. I work with steel ( going on 36 years) and regardless if its steel or aluminum, there is still a high melting point, not attainable by burning kerosene

Actually you are the one that does not understand gravity, or physics. When a building collapses gravity and the falling objects hitting each other and stationary objects also causes a sideways motion - which is why when a building is demolished they have to clear a lot of space around it!

And here's another one that never made it to the Firehouse forum board. Say, didn't all these firefighters take an oath to preserve, protect, and defens the Constitution as well? Like, say, the First Amendment? Check it out: "Hello gentlemen, Lance Fisher here, Seattle Fire Department, Ladder 12 'C' Shift. I heard through the grapevine that my friend and brother Erik Lawyer was enduring quite an assault here on the Firehouse forums, and I'm here to clarify a couple of things for all you toads that chose to engage in ad hominem attacks. I'm quite confident that most of the anonymous snipers here in this thread will have no idea what "ad hominem" means, so please allow me to enlighten you. Simply put, an ad hominem argument is the act of attacking the individual making a claim on a personal level, rather than engaging in any substantive argument against the claim itself. That is pretty much all that I have seen here. Erik works just one Truck Company North of me, down in the Southwest corner of this lovely "delusional" city we call Seattle. As a result of our geographical proximity, I get to see Erik's smiling face down here in the Rainier Valley just about every time we try to burn something up. I'm here to tell all who read this that Erik Lawyer is one of those rare individuals who is easy to respect and easy to like. It's pretty common to meet someone who is better at one than the other, but Erik has both down pat. He is a hardworking and knowledgeable firefighter. Over in Boston (another city that, once upon a time, was filled with men who dared to question their government) they would say; "He's a good Jake". Erik showed guts by coming here into a clearly hostile environment to answer questions about his website, and all you people can do is verbally stone him? He showed discretion and class in his postings by taking the high road, avoiding the name calling you so willingly engage in, and you have the audacity to question his motives and professionalism? Worst of all, you initiate a thread full of hostilities in a widely viewed forum (a forum of which Erik was not previously a member), and then you proceed to accuse HIM of starting the whole thing, by way of "trolling"?! The fact that you would accuse him of being "delusional" after this blatant display self serving psychosis is laughable...

Put my faith in a Seattle firefighter who calls his FDNY brethren liars? Are you seriously suggesting that? Take HIS word over that of the men and women who were there and survived? No thanks.
But, again, please let FDNY know that you consider them lapdogs.

a reply to: neutronfluxI didnt say thermite or termites now did I? I did say that Im in the steel industry for over 35 years and have extensive training in metals. I am trained and certified in all types of welding. I am trained in and held title as quality assurance supervisor and lead investigations in steel quality, failures, and all types of imperfections dealing with rod mills and billet producers. I was asked to give a presentation to the employees of one of Americas largest steel mills in 1989. So what is it you are trying to say?
