Kansas lawmakers want to pay students who 'out' trans students

We recently had to transgender female to male guess in our Sociology class over the weekend. The subjects were in their mid-twenties and looked just like regular men. They were very attractive both have beards deep voices one of them was actually muscular they were very kind but share their story with us.

I have to admit before they lectured our class I was a little bit wary and had a different mindset about transgenders. After hearing their stories; each spoke about their life as a child into their adult stages and transforming into a different person, I actually got it.

This article regarding Kansas lawmakers and paying students to basically tell on other students that may be a little bit different is somewhat appalling to me.

Having gay people in my family I guess I should be more understanding, or should have been. But now I have to tell you fellow members I have a change of heart and I'm ashamed of what I thought before I actually knew the person inside the body.

I'm hoping that members here that are trans or no a trans or have one in the family can shed some light on the subject and I would also like to know what you think about these lawmakers and Kansas? Is this fair? Is this something you would want to instill and your children's educational system? Let's hear it ATS.

Kansas senators have passed a bill that would essentially reward children for reporting trans kids who use certain restrooms and changing facilities.

Despite the fact that there are less than two weeks left on the legislative calendar — and a mountain of fiscal and social bills that needs attention — Kansas lawmakers have proposed two bills that take aim at transgender students. The legislation would prevent children from using restrooms that match their gender identity.

The bills – Senate Bill 513 and House Bill 2737 – collectively known as the “Student Physical Privacy Act,” allege that a “natural” concern over student privacy exists. The act would dictate that students can only access changing facilities that accord with their sex.

If someone is transgender they now are whatever sex they are, not the one they were.

I think the whole thing is to do with something else, but can't put my finger on it.

It appears to be an attempt to help stop people with penises from going into people with vaginas bathrooms and vice versa.

I don't understand.If you transgendered from say female to male-then you'd want to use the men's toilets.Is this to mean,for instance,male students should report transgender men if they used to be female before,and now use the men's facilities?

But surely if one went through the transgender process,used to have a vagina but now have a penis,you're gonna want to use the men's room.Unless they are confusing transgender people with transvestites.

I totally get this ( We debated over a pens in a Va jay jay, bathroom) , this was one of my questions because if I had children I certainly would not want the bill to allow take place.

Transgender is known as a medical condition (they say) and even so I believe separate bathrooms should be for them period as painful as these people's lives have been it's bound to be more painful going forward in the future.

If you had a sex change from a vagina to a penis then you go to the bathroom where all the other penises go.

So they have a law that rewards citizens for reporting other citizens for being different. Sounds like a winner to me!!

Maybe next we can go after the jews again in the same way. Remember how cool that was when people did that??

Lets see. Say im a man and i am:

Transgender = I have a penis but i identify my self as a woman = use mens restroom



Transvestite = I have a penis but I like to dress up as a woman = use mens restroom



Transsexual = I used to have a penis but I had a sex change now I have a vagina = use womans restroom

I don't understand why there's no communial bathrooms. There are in quite a few places in Europe and they (generally) work. There's no urinals, it's all stalls. Would put a stop to this nonesense pretty quick.

Ya thats what i figured, i was just a bit confused by the whole "reporting students" thing,i mean if the person had fully transgendered then obviously you go to the facilities for your current genitals.Then i realised its propably for those who have not gone through the sex change op yet.
I would think unisex toilets would take care of that.I actually thought in America unisex toilett facilities were pretty much available in most public places already.

If you were 4'11" and 90 pounds and in walked someone into the bathroom you were in about 6'3" , whipped out his penis in front of you to take a leak standing up you might be a little intimidated. Especially if you two were alone and the guy looked nothing like a woman i.g. (he identified as a woman but wasn't wearing makeup and was wearing mens cloths at the time)

.....I could see her concern. I can see this as being an issue that needs to be dealt with.

If your gonna use the men's room you kinda need the equipment to do so and there isn't any stalls hanging on the wall in the ladies room that I know of. I say use the room that fits your junk until such time as your junk is changed. If nothing else for convenience.

Caitlyn Jenner, for example, has a penis. How comfortable would you be with your 6 year old son seeing Caitlyn Jenner whipping it out at a urinal in the men's room?

How comfortable would you be with you 6 year old daughter sharing the lady's room with a "transgendered" bearded man that still has female anatomy?

This is disgusting behavior to encourage in children, snitching on your peers because you suspect something amiss in their pants. None the less I'm not surprised by this, this is exactly the kind of mentality TPTB want to condition into people. As a Trans woman I will say that I would love to see someone attempt to forcibly view my privates in a public restroom that would bring nothing but drama and bad news for them. I would defend myself, file charges and most likely sue the shh out of that person.

Oh and where I come from snitches get stitches...
