The wall will not be physical, it will be a wall of facial and biometric screening machines. Go ahead and enter, we'll just know where and what you are doing at all times. If I've learned anything about government, its that they never want to fix or solve anything, only develop a method to control and contain it. I made a modest estimate. What would be your estimate ? you could consult the construction union about pay rates, consult a mining company about the PPT (that's price per tonne) of the materials, the price and amount of fuel needed to transport the minerals, the cost of manufacturing...

That is why I called it a modest estimate. There is crunching the numbers and then there is unforeseen expenses which is why I considered the bare essentials and not included those variables- if I did then the price could be higher and more 'sensible'.

FYI there is already a 20 foot high Angle Iron wall on the most heavily crossed areas of the border, so I don't think they need bricks... you should figure again your cost estimate 'Engineer'

People forget he also wants to hire thousands of government employees to man the border, then you have the equipment required and the maintenance involved with keeping something that big, properly working.

Everybody whose done any kind of real math on this projects, knows the 10 billion dollar argument isn't real. It's just a talking point.

$1200 a foot, I don't think so LOL. The libtards will want a non-lethal system which means basically a concrete wall with millions of sensors and a limited ability to prevent breach. You'd need both underground kinetics using TDR or echo recon systems plus above ground capacitive sensing systems, external and internal barrier proximity systems, and possibly planar field 2d/3d bit mapping systems as well as 200 yard IR system. The sensory system would have to be capable of resolving activity at a minimum of 100 to 200 yards. If you add an audio system (we can see you) it reduces the chance of intrusion by an additional 75% because the target knows you're onto them.

4-12 billion, I think Trumps numbers are way off if he said that.
