This is 1st-Gen.Tech. Buddy. Lack of founds, or resources due to the first is why we see the Triton as it is now. I'm sure he has the patent on this product. & we will see advancements, if not with this company...

Yes Remarkable Tech. Indeed.

I hate to be that guy, but, don't waste your money. It is fake, and pretty impossible.

The math has already been done... Humans require a lot of oxygen... a lot more than is usually dissolved in water around you. You would have to suck 24 gallons of water per minute through that device with 100% efficiency to get bare minimum of oxygen to survive (if the water you are in even has that much dissolved oxygen). Its humanly impossible.

Here is more of the math...

www.deepseanews.com...

Even if they included a 1/4 horsepower water pump in the device (which I doubt they will because of battery life), they would have to have a tiny air tank to contain the air for your next breath, and you would have to contend with pressure differences between your lungs and the device... unless they pressurize the oxygen that was just collected from water into a tank (which requires a lot more power from a battery to do), and the air pressure was higher than the air pressure in your lungs, it wont work. If its not pressurize then you would have to suck the air out... but it would be like putting your mouth around a glass bottle and trying to suck the air out. You wont be able to breath in...

Anyway... I can't believe they raise half a million for something that is impossible. They will probably run away and disappear with that money.

Hopefully thats the case because the device certainly shows promise, if real, the possibility's are endless should they manage to improve upon the depth characteristics.

Not true. I did in fact read the technical information and watch the video. That's why in my post I asked the question (which you failed to include when you quoted my post, and failed to respond to) about the other substances besides oxygen gas that could get inhaled.

That question I asked in my post was:

If this breather (according to the technical literature) has holes that are large enough to allow the dissolved oxygen gas that is in water/seawater in to my lungs, but small enough to keep the water molecules out, then what else is able to get in through the holes? What other substances that may be dissolved in the water am I taking into my lungs? Is it anything bad?

Can you answer that, please?

By the way, just because a claim about a product (any product) includes technical specs and videos, that doesn't necessarily mean the product really works as claimed. Maybe it does; maybe it doesn't.

The math and physics don't change over years... sorry... this product is a fake and impossible.

You realize it is extracting DISSOLVED OXYGEN right? Inhale some air, dunk your head under water, then exhale the same amount of air. You see those bubbles you made? That is exactly the amount of bubbles you would need to suck / inhale out of the water in the form of really really really small bubbles that you can hardly see. Good luck with that.... You are going to suffocate.

They do not have a working prototype... Its a lie. If they had a working prototype then why did they cut this video into 30 second parts? Why don't they have a 45 minute long video of him underwater? Because it doesn't exist, and is a huge scam.

Man, there are a lot of skeptics here.

Well, when I get one, and I will be getting one, I'll post a review here for everyone. Sounds good?

I've been following this product for over 2 years now, and it seems credible to me.

Fair is Fair Box of Rain...

Some Extra Info Before My Answer:
I think the material we have given for this product helps the right 'sizes' of the molecules because of their different geometrical shapes - oxygen molecule like a dumbbell and water molecule like a V shape.
If a material has holes slightly bigger than an oxygen atom it should theoretically allow the passage of oxygen molecules but not water, but actually very few oxygen molecules are aligned in the right direction to get through, Which I believe the added machine is there to help pull in the oxygen.

Getting to Your Answer:
Now, for example lets say you go walking down into a cave, your breathing oxygen, Then outta nowhere you succumbed to carbon monoxide concentrations and die, now What just happened? Not Being SAFE!!! You would have researched that cave first, correct? If information you found came back that this cave is dangerous because of carbon monoxide gasses, Would you still explore? I would hope not. So...

Like any sport or emergency, Safety is the Answer, And the only way to be Safe is to use historical data of the environment you choose to use the Triton in as a guide to your next adventure.

In Conclusion:
Yes --> you may be correct that other gasses could be allowed to vent thru this devise (After all, this is the 1st gen.)
But Be Safe.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards,

This is just ridiculous.

That's like saying "so those hiking shoes claim to be able to last for 100,000,000 steps? Why haven't they shown a full video on it, unedited, that counts exactly 100,000,000? It's obviously fake because they didn't do that!"

Please... Virtually no product goes to that level of transparency.

Some sharks must swim constantly in order to keep oxygen-rich water flowing over their gills, but others are able to pass water through their respiratory system by a pumping motion of their pharynx. This allows them to rest on the sea floor and still breathe.

"Some" is the key word here.

Myth 1: Sharks Must Swim Constantly or They Die!

I likely wont be getting the first-off-the-line model for the sake of lack of funds at the moment, but I will hopefully be getting one next year if their release date is on time
