While not forming a 3rd party is a nice sentiment, i wouldn't rule that option out. In fact I enjoy that option being on the table because it scares the hell out of the Republican establishment. If it didn't, they wouldn't of tried to cut a deal with Trump about not going 3rd party at the onset of all this mess.

In fact, i thought it was very telling that the GOP debate was canceled after Trump said he would not attend the Fox Debate a 3rd time. That one move told me the Republicans never thought he could possibly gain this much momentum before the convention.

that all depends on if the current Republican Party wished to be reformed or not. So far they've showed they do not wish to be reformed. It's their choice. They are public servants, not elected gods. They need to realize they can be fired.

The pot was lo grade back then compared to today, for one. The heavier drugs were introduced by returning Vietnam vets, and the CIA.

I can't say if the pot was low grade back then or not, that is debatable.

I would agree with the gov't and the psychedelic movement though, they've always used Americans as their own personal guinea pigs. Yes i've seen that movie.

The gov't/cia was also responsible for the 'Modern Art' era a complete debacle to Actual Art worth looking at.

I can, I was there. The development of the high grades of marijuana took a long time and many plantings to cultivate the THC levels we see today.

The movie, One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest left out that Kesey got the inspiration to write the book in the first place because he worked in one of those hospitals in the Northwest, having access to the variety of powerful narcotics, including L_S_D they kept there to experiment on the 'patients'.

Everyone talks about secret government programs, he exposes those very programs and people involved. They invented these programs to defuse the counter culture movement, and then distributed the acid to people at parties along the west coast.

Did you know that the anti-war platform was the Conservative platform until Eisenhower got elected?

The Progressives always wanted to "make the world safe for Democracy". The Progressives wouldn't allow anti-war until it was Progressive anti-war and only Progressive anti-war.

And the peace movement was supposed to be about starting a new society, until they got into power. They just wanted power the whole time, and used the peace stuff to get past the small government conservatives.

Back then It was almost all naturally grown. Pure luck of the growing to get big sticky buds back then.

Since then best plants have been bred for yield and the growing is engineered some what.

that was awesome to read thank you! And i would say i would agree with both your grandparents. The Libs flooded the school system with their types over the years to attempt to get to the younger people to their side hoping they would stay loyal once they get older. And some amount of social services and helping hands are needed in this country and i don't think any reasonable person would ever say no to any social programs what so ever. BUT people these days are supporting themselves on systems like that. Not all but some are and they are abusing the system while the rest of us suffer for it. There has to be a limitation on it to ensure that abuse is kept to a manageable level and so far most of these politicians only want to keep expanding the govt bureaucracy because they realized long ago that they can stay in power the more 'free stuff' they promise to give away. When ultimately "We the People" pay for every bit of it and probably 10Xs
