I hate to complain but...

The repeating avatar thing on long posts is really really horrible. An option to disable the overly busy background images would be nice as well.

Just for shigs and gittles, you should post the changes to this site's graphic look over the years... a sort of "ATS site design museum".

I bet those early pages looked like stone tablet carvings or scribbles on papyrus scrolls compared to the slick looks webpages have now.

The new look seems to be shaping up nicely on my desktop P.C.. The window is rock steady, with no pop-ups, or auto-start videos! Hopefully there will be a legend added to ATS that explains the increasing numbers of symbols. For instance, below our name/avatar are symbols with numbers next to them. I know they represent levels of awards, punishments, feedback from members, but I can't explain what every symbol means, to myself, or to anyone else.

well...i had something cocked and loaded for the day after st. patty's. LOL...guess ill need to retool it just a bit.

But the REAL win: 1200px long? Good lord, I could do a comic strip in that space.

it has existed for a number of years already. Look in your account settings, all the way at the bottom. you can hide avatars and backgrounds.

The background image of the whole site that changes on every page that only just appeared this morning when I opened the page for the first time today that wasn't there yesterday?

ETA:
(This is why I should adhere to my rule to not post within an hour of waking, haha! But, I'm not referring to avatars and avatar/backgrounds, just the main website background image that changes at random on every page)

For me: my eyes suck, and are getting worse. So i CTRL + to zoom in far enough that I barely even see the background to begin with.

me too, theres some new settings in the account page, but none turn of the bg image.

i'm not a fan so far, and cant imagine it will grow on me.

I don't like it either, but I find that the white theme helps the eyes a lot better than the dark considering the background image.
