Large segments of society huh. Why because you've seen it a couple times on tv??

In either case if it's so wrong why are you suggesting we should be doing more of it??8

I'm prone to hyperbole. It makes life amazingly more interesting.

I'm also not in favour of senseless violence. The "knock out" game is senseless violence. The instance in the original post isn't necessarily senseless.

adjective
1.
destitute or deprived of sensation; unconscious.
2.
lacking mental perception, appreciation, or comprehension.
3.
stupid or foolish, as persons or actions.
4.
nonsensical or meaningless, as words:
This letter is either cryptic or senseless.

We could sit here and argue semantics whereby all violence can be seen as both senseless and not senseless or you can accept the fact that the instance in the OP was just as stupid and unnecessary as any other sucker-punch that's ever been delivered.

Lynched at a Trump rally!!!! HOLY BATBALLS you are all nuts. If it was an old black man who hit a young kid acting out I would say the same thing. He lived through the nightmare of racism.

Again, my post is not racial at all!

I am getting sick of being called a racist bigot because I support Trump and maybe one or two of 20,000 people act the fool you blame anyone. It is prejudice to be honest....

These people actually believe what they are saying...and will likely vote for Hillary cause they are scared.

Meanwhile the same group looks down on anyone who accuse Islam or anything else for the actions of a "few" because in those cases it is just a mistake I guess.

Only a matter of time until a colored person gets lynched at a Trump rally, and if that happens I'm sure we'll have his cheerleaders telling us how those "thugs" had it coming

You must have a deep mind from within which you can reach to pull out these racist absurdities.

What's next? A jew get's pushed at a Trump rally, the next logical step must be a holocaust? I'm sorry but there is no amount of chewing gum to connect your logic here.

I understand where you are coming from , however, these sort of things ARENT uncommon at Trump rallies

And they dont happen at other peoples rallies really, so whats that say about the environment he encourages and the mentality of his supporters.

There is a common thread with this happening around Trump and not other candidates, that is undeniable

They don't happen at other rallies because only supporters go to those, that is undeniable.

Yeah, that guy who did the punching sure looked like the typical Trump supporter.

Yea I noticed that to.....never mind that the puncher was is probably a plant.

Notice the guy who got elbowed then proceeds up the stairs, instead of confronting the guy who did it starts shoving the police ??

Very odd behavior I would say, like he wanted to get taken down.

Lol holy moley the lengths you Drumpf supporters will go to in order to deflect away from what's blatantly obvious to the rest of the world....'a plant' LOL

Him acting like a racist bully doesn't give you the right to enact all the prejudices you harbour nor would he give two craps about any of his 'supporters' or their wishes if he were voted in.

You're all still going to be accountable for your actions, just like the vicious old racist geezer in the OP...

As you said yourself, the asshole hooligan provoked the man by flipping the bird! The man got offended by that and thus hit him. No racism involved. He knew the bird was going to get reactions, and that's why he showed it and then got hit by an old man.

What the hooligan did here is the same thing as showing up uninvited to a party and then flipping off everyone, or in simpler terms, it's like showing up in a meeting of black people and yelling the n word at them all. Same parallel.

Also it's bigots like you that are the reason the lefties have such a bad connotation of low intelligence.

a reply to: Vroomfondel

That's the point, the hooligan was baiting. The old man happened to bite.

Once again, the whooshing noise you heard was the point of the thread soaring far over your head.
Holy crap this is depressing.

Ya Ya, we know, YOUR point of this thread is that Trump supporters in rallies should allow people to bait and flame with mostly meaningless taunts, but they do not because they are Trump supporters, amirite ?

Oh yes, and we should all admit we are racist scum that use violence in the worst ways and we are approaching Hitler levels of mania towards all others.

If by this you mean certain people are showing their true colors as cowardly, racist and prejudiced thugs, then yeah I have a problem with it.

I reserve the right to make my own determination over what I consider senseless.

It's suggested that the old man may have been reacting to something. Therefore there is the potential for it to make sense. It's a world of difference from randomly punching people who are walking along the street.

Sometimes sucker-punches are the best option. Screw the Marquis of Queensbury.

Look, these asshats need to go rally with who they want to win. They instead are being PAID by someone to try and slow down Trumps campaign. Guess what, THIS WILL ONLY MAKE HIS CAMPAIGN STRONGER..

Everyone knows Obamas Accorn black panthers are behind this crap. They want to continue being poor under the liberal socialist. If I was there listening to Trump and I had some black jackass in front of me yelling crap I would have knocked his ass out to. Better yet, it was an old country boy who made him look like a punk little bitch.

The old guy was wrong to sucker punch the irritant. No problem there. But what I don't understand is why people are so upset it. The guy he punched drew attention to himself and his actions were taunting. Its not like the old guy was just walking down the street playing the knock-out game. I mean really, what kind of thug would do that?

because security allowed the the guy that did the punching to go back and sit down in his seat....now say that a white guy was cursing out a black guy sitting down, and the black guy punched the white guy, who do you think they would have carried away????.....I'll give you a hint, every black person knows the answer...

Right there, that is part of the problem. Every black person knows the answer. And white people don't? It doesn't seem like you are angry that a white guy hit a black guy. It seems the only thing you are angry about is that he seemed to get away with it. That would suggest that you have no problem with a black guy hitting a white guy either. The violence doesn't seem to bother you. Its the accountability that does. And that is part of the problem. The knock-out game. Its ok if you dont get caught, right?

Edit: I just saw a clip on the news that showed black protesters swinging away at white people at the Trump rally in Chicago. All the police did was separate them. I didnt see anyone getting arrested. So what do we do here? Do we accept that maybe its not all race related, or do we construct some scenario where its still racist - even though in this case it wasnt.

Are you just playing dumb, or a troll?
It seems that your twisted view is that "trump and any of his supporters" are evil incarnate, and that everyone is holier than him. Get some facts straight.
The guy was not "protesting", the hooligan was taunting! Taunting is purposeful actions to provoke a reaction, just like how the hooligan taunted everyone there with the finger to provoke a reaction, which was the old man hitting him.

The problem I have is that this was reported as an innocent black guy getting punched by a white guy.

Actually it was an antagonistic guy looking for trouble, gesturing and baiting a crowd of Trump supporters. One of them punched him in he face for it. I say he deserved it. In fact he got off lightly.

I do have a problem with the death threats from the Trump supporter when asked about it and I do think this guy should be charged with assault. But, eventually, if you keep antagonising people, one of them is going to put your lights out. To suggest this guy did it because Trump told him to is nonsense. To suggest it is Trumps fault somehow is also nonsense.

Actually according to his own testimony which is on a video somewhere in this thread he wasn't even protesting. He was just standing there with some other friends and they were talking to each other about not liking trump and that was what got them thrown out. They weren't there to protest, they just wanted to check out the "show". But apparently just talking trash about Trump at his rally is enough for his supporters to call for your removal.

I imagine the reason for the double bird on the way out was because that's exactly how he felt about the whole thing which is easily understandable.

But whatever the reason it's no reason to hit the guy. He was already on his way out being escorted by security. He had not done anything to anyone other than flip them off. That in no way justifies what that old dude did and if you think it does you're a danger to society and have mental problems. If someone showing you the finger is enough to make you react with physical violence you belong in jail and/or therapy.

What's your response if someone cuts you off in line, a quick chop to their throat and crush their windpipe or perhaps take out an eye??? Get a grip.

It's simple - if you flip people off you run the risk of someone taking offence to the extent they will punch you. That is the real world. Unfortunately there are people who will react in this way. Not Trump's fault at all. The guy who got hit will hopefully learn a valuable lesson. Don't insult people because you feel aggrieved at being ejected from a venue or slighted somehow. This isn't a defence of the guy who threw the punch - he should be charged with assault.

The association of this story, which has been repeated over and over, to justify over 1000 protesters intimidating and attacking Trump supporters and closing down free speech is a complete joke. Dishonest.

Exactly. We don't have to make everything an issue of race. One guy taunted, the other guy responded. More than one person at that rally threw a punch, both black and white, and more than one did not get arrested for it. Though, to be honest, they probably should have.

It may be national news because candidates were involved, but its just another day in Chicago. Someone standing on a flag, someone standing in front of your car while you try to get to work, and so on. People are getting fed up with it all. I think events like this will probably increase before they end.
