Saddam played the role he needed to play, whether we agree with it or not.

The real issue is that we had no right to go in to that country, throw the country in to chaos and kill their leader.

That is not the role of the American military, nor should it be our foreign policy.

In that regards, i don't think anyone is saying he wasn't a bad guy. What they are saying and what I have observed is that things haven't gotten better but rather worse since his departure for that region.

I can see a stealth independent candidate emerging for sure after this debacle.
