What I love is that from Page 1 onwards people have been commenting on how "Over-Excited/Over-Dramatic" people have been getting about this thread. All I have seen is an OP make a thread about something they heard, state that it was early days and would watch to see what happens. You would think the OP had declared the END of the world and other posters had agreed.

Do you think this is actually politics? That Hillary or her campaign was behind this? Please tell me I got that wrong.

The speed with which a friendly drunk can change into a belligerent drunk is rivaled only by the speed of light.

Oh, I know that well. Ex-bouncer, here--in my young and stupid days...caught a knife in the leg, and that ended that career path right there. Went into commercial fishing, and related industry. Much less painful.

It used to be that as long as they weren't staggering drunk, they were allowed on...judgement call, I guess. I'm not sure about what guidelines they used, if any... I know I got on an airplane in Anchorage to Seattle, and I had to be poured onto it, but that was back in the 90's. Last time I ever did that...hang over was just about the most painful I've ever had the dubious pleasure of experiencing.

If you get thrown off a plane for insulting Hillary, well I would get thrown off the planet if my true opinion was known.

Oh ow. On the leg and the hangover. That's why I don't drink often. Too painful.

Well what I said was about a comment saying "What happened to the country". Which IS being melodramatic over something that isn't confirmed yet.

Also, the OP is acting as if this is a fact, when it clearly is not. Not to say it didn't happen, but just thinking that since Rush had a guy call him and say it means it did is a bit naive . Especially with Rush's track record.

Yes but he/she did say "If this happened/Is true" then what happened to the world... if it is true and you can be denied boarding access by staff over political opinions a lot of people would say "what is happening to the world"; Just as figure of speech for some.

OP; Yes and No. The OP is stating that someone phones in to rush's radio show and said .... as true. The OP wasn't saying the incident was true just that someone did phone in, which I believe is true, even if the incident wasn't.

I just think people get to defensive on ATS regarding incidents that may or may not be true. Debate it and prove the OP wrong for sure, but respect other peoples views as well. That's all I am saying.

You better watch what you say folks. Big brother is watching you. Or in this case, the airline gate attendant.

First sentence in the OP, sorry that isn't just saying someone called in.

And yes the poster prefaced "if this is true" which is why I said it is pretty melodramatic to follow that ho with what is happening to the country. And I think saying that is just a figure of speech is a bit of a stretch.

Lol that sentence is hardly worth everybody getting defensive over though.

And yes it can quite easily be a figure of speech. I went into a pub a few weeks ago, ordered a Krono and got told the barrel had run dry and there were no back ups due to an ordering mistake. I said "God, what's the world coming to".

I would rather see someone thrown from the plane while in flight, if they voted FOR HIllary. That would be acceptable to me.

Makes sense.

I'm gonna have to call BS on this man's story. That's illegal and would not "fly". No way. If it did, there's gonna be a million dollar law suit.

Only two things should happen here:

1. The employee should be fired immediately
2. UA should make immediate restitution to cover the cost of rebooking a flight + vouchers for free tickets for use within the next year.

a reply to: Krazysh0t I hate Rush Slimeball but you seem to be in denial about this situation, it fits perfectly into the realm of Clinton politics.

In other words, you want to believe it because it confirms your biases. Gotcha.

PS: United Airlines isn't part of Clinton politics. Heck the ticket taker that allegedly kicked this woman out of line isn't part of Clinton politics either. She's just an employee of the airline and the airline is a business that has existed longer than Clinton has been running for office.

There's nothing to suggest this story is actually true, nothing at all. A man calls a right leaning DJ tells him his wife (we don't even know if he has a wife) had this happen to her - he wasn't there, it's 'her' recollection but she wasn't the one recollecting it......................... but so many on here are straight on it as proof of what H Clinton (who I'm guessing definitely wasn't there if it ever took place) is like.

Of course she's like that, and this incident proves it!

[/circular logic]
