Again brother, the energy is intermentint and thus uses gas to back it up, all the while increasing co2 levels the point is in 50 years the population may double and we must fix these issues now! Nuclear energy is the way to go, don't take my word for it just do a little research I can even provide some direction if you'd like. Cheers

Shoot me a PM with some links and sourced material. I'd rather not derail the thread.
Thanks in advance.

Only 1 of those is a lefty policy...

And since LBJ poverty had reduced by 5% even with a population increase and the inflation rate making the money worth a lot less.

WOD & WOT are both massive failures from Nixon & Bush Jr respectively.

I'm not picking on "just" the democrats. The "republicans" are just as guilty. I'm not even picking on any specific ideology other than the one where cheap talk and blogs and cash seem to have replaced actually going out and DOING something.

You really don't have to go any further than the old dichotomy of being told that you should vote for this or that politician or policy before an election out of compassion, and then when he/she fails or the policy doesn't pass, to see all the leftists shaking their heads and clucking over all the people who clearly voted against their own best interests.

If we are actually voting out of compassion to do compassion, then shouldn't our own best interests be the last thing motivating our vote?

But when all is said and done, if we are left shaking our heads that so many are voting against their own best interests, then the implication seems to be that this is all that motivates the vote in the first place - our interests - us - which implies the only reason to vote for leftest policies is pure personal selfishness.

The rich always want to make the poor feel as if there's hope for them too -- that they too can become rich!

When you're at the top, you control the game and make the rules. The rich don't want more rich people.

The haves don't want the have-not's to have. They've rigged the economic system and put into place dogmatic propaganda to perpetuate memes and culture-subverting media -- placating the have-not's into believing that their ship will come in any day.

It's a Stockholm syndrome on the grandest scale. It's like a prisoner defending his captors or an abused wife defending her abusive husband. It's mind manipulation, programming, and cultural subversion since birth on a grand scale.

Solar panel production is actually a pretty dirty process.

Solar Energy Isn’t Always as Green as You Think

Not that I dislike solar energy but, if it requires state intervention to make people use it, it isn't economically viable yet.

When it is economically and ecologically viable, people will demand it.

The whole premise of this thread is to attack "the left".

Forgive me if I assumed you were kicking while we're down.

I don't think you know "Rich" people. I've known and talk with many in my business life. Most are VERY compassionate, happy, giving, charitable, and they are EXCITED about teaching poor people how to make money.

It's the LIBERALS in my life I've seen which are the backstabbers, egocentric, misers, and always ANGLING for a position thinking they're in a fight to the death in every aspect of life, including relationships.

"Rich" people are not the villains I think you think they are. In fact I've mostly seen the opposite.

You should only feel down if you talk about caring instead of actually going out and doing.

The OP made me "feel" that I should do more than I already do. Not talk about it, not blog or selfie it, but actually DO.

And I felt I should do more long before the self-aggrandising OP came along.

But ultimately we do what we can when we can.

Doesn't seem to matter to many because my benevolence is a "myth" according to all the back patters.

That's bull#.
Putting it politely.

Your personal benevolence may not be a myth, but the leftist idea that simply voting for leftist policies is all one must do in order to be benevolent is one myth. The other myth is that those policies is actual benevolence at all.

Calling a vote "benevolence" and then carrying on with your own selfish life is not real benevolence at all. It's like saying you give to United Way in your paycheck and using that to justify not helping anyone or giving when you can.

"Liberals" love to virtue signal...I've seen in my entire life. And being born and raised in Los Angeles you see it first hand.

People who pretend on the outside to 'care' but would stab you or their own family in the back at a moments notice.

So many decades of this and the pattern is self evident to me.

Please, the OP was nothing more than a wide sweeping generalisation regarding "anyone" on the left.

It was far more than just "voting for the left is a benevolence myth" rhetoric.

Yes the word "anyone" appeared and was swiftly followed by "I bet he hasn't" thought of doing good things.

It's a right wing back slapping fest of a topic, there is no subjective look at the opposite side of the coin...
There is no real substance short of unsubstantiated anecdotal notes of derision.

It's just a hack attack, in the deconstructing disinformation segment with no source.
This is Mudpit nonsense at best.

But there is a valid point to be made.

I've often been told that I am uncaring, simply because I don't adhere to a specific ideology.

Without even knowing what I've done or what I do, I have been labeled as uncaring and selfish. Simply based on ideology.

Therefore, I felt the OP had merit.
