Said all along that none of the major political parties and their leading lights want to come out of the EU.

Theresa May and her cabinet have been criminally inept in their handling of the negotiations and Vince Cable should be tried for trying to usurp the democratic process and the will of the people.

Project Fear II seems to have kicked into overdrive just as EU negotiators seemed to be adopting a more conciliatory approach.
I firmly believe its in everyone's best interests to agree some sort of Free Trade deal.
But I'm beginning to think our best course of action is to just walk away from all negotiations and inform the EU that there will be no more talking until after 11pm March 29th 2019. End of.

Project Fear is never ending!

Mark Carney should be ashamed of himself. He is there to provide stability to our banking and monetary sector, yet every time he opens his mouth with his fake doom predictions, the pound drops further.

Mark Carney's job is simple as there are only a few tools available for the Bank of England to use in a crisis, mostly changing interest rates, changing the fractional reserve rate, and quantitative easing (printing money).

Hmm. What about Sadiq Khan? Second Brexit vote? Or does this not count, because "City of London", "Khan", "Politician"?

Because you speak of "the will of the people", who in my opinion began researching "EU" juuuust after the Brexit vote. And this should not be neglected, that "the people" have more knowledge about the Pros and Cons now than 2016.

So that was a win for the Brexit only because "the people" had a very low level of insight into the possible future problems?

Does this not concern you, that the first Brexit won mostly by ignorance?

Sadiq Khan is an irrelevance to me.
The UK is a damn sight more than just London.

I don't think we should have a second referendum, he does.
Why does one man's opinion stand for more than another's.

We've had our referendum and we voted to leave....end of story!

Because you speak of "the will of the people", who in my opinion began researching "EU" juuuust after the Brexit vote.

In your opinion?
On what do you base your opinion?

The British people made their choice.
The British people are NOT stupid - far from it - and they made their reasoned and considered choice based on the facts as presented to them from BOTH sides.

I base that on the fact that I actually live in the UK and was present - and still am - prior to and during the Brexit vote.
We're you?
Or are you just spouting Remainer and pro-EU rhetoric which is based on nothing but dogma and a blind faith in the bloated and corrupt EU that wilfully ignores the principles of national self-determination and national sovereignty?

And this should not be neglected, that "the people" have more knowledge about the Pros and Cons now than 2016.

And on what do you base this opinion?

Based on my interaction with the British people on a day to day basis I'd suggest that we are more determined than ever to break free from the dictatorial control of the EU and that the Brexit vote should stand....it's called DEMOCRACY.

So that was a win for the Brexit only because "the people" had a very low level of insight into the possible future problems?

Absolute and total bollocks.
We knew the EU wouldn't let us go easy...we are seen as a cash cow by the EU.
And they want to be seen to 'punish' the UK in order to deter any other nation from seeking to leave the EU.

But we are stronger than that and we at our best and most resolute when our backs are against the wall.

Europe should know this by now!

Does this not concern you, that the first Brexit won mostly by ignorance?

What concerns me is that the EU and powers within the UK are trying to prevent democracy and the right to self-determination being actioned upon.

Hmm...... What about Sadiq Khan? A man who tries to score cheap points

by making fun of the democratically elected leader of another country

rather than concentrating on doing the job he was elected to do. He has

yet to do anything of any consequence to warrant approval.

Because you speak of "the will of the people", who in my opinion began researching "EU" juuuust after the Brexit vote.

In your opinion? You obviously think the 'people' of the UK are

stupid..... well, I've got news for you they are NOT, they have been researching

and observing the effects on the EU on the UK over the past 45 years and they

DO NOT LIKE IT.

And this should not be neglected, that "the people" have more knowledge about the Pros and Cons now than 2016.

It is not wise to underestimate the people of the UK!!!

So that was a win for the Brexit only because "the people" had a very low level of insight into the possible future problems?

Life didn't begin in 1973....

There was life before the EU

And before 1973 our streets were not filled with so many Europeans, there were school places for our kids near home, NHS was not drowning and you didn't have so many Europeans and others ahead of you in the queue! At car boot sales everybody spoke English, now almost everybody speaks another European language or the accents are eastern European. Social housing was available for young adults etc etc!

Total BS. You've been watching Sky News.
Brexit would have been won by an ever greater majority if not for Project fear and the Govt pushing remain.
Get a grip sunshine and accept that we do not want to be part of the EU.

Just watched a political programme where John Major was spouting his usual

rhetoric of doom and gloom regarding Brexit, made me wonder which treaties

he had signed when PM so I looked it up......

Never realised how like the position we are currently in, seems Mrs May has taken

a leaf out of John Majors stance. Looks like she may be following in his footsteps

in needing the votes from the sick and infirm to get her 'deal' through parliament.

Noted too .... in the brief summary of his bio. at the end of the item, there was

no mention of Edwina Curry?
