That "walking" has me stumped, too... but at times it looks like it's dragging, gliding and inanimate.

So likely a balloon/effigy as you suggest... but there is some weirdness here that might, juuuuust might be true weirdness, too... hard to pin down with a Rorschach-esque glob of pixels.

But, I assert weird stuff does happen... so I'll leave it with a pithy "Weird!" as well...

Looks like one of those walking robot toys on a string. Drone sounds good.

When it lands it looks as if it is being dragged a little by some sort of tether. Who knows what is on the other end of the tether.

Just goes to show some people just have too much time on their hands. It would have more entertainment value if a security guard walked over to it and literally kicked it to the curb.

If the video had an appropriate sound track it could potentially be cross linked to something useful.

Really! a handheld security cam? i guess the jobs in tyrkey are payed low enough to make that viable.

No, he was holding his own hand held camera, recording from the security footage screen.

What I think is the weirdest part about this is the end, around 3:55 to 4:00 after it crosses the street and seems to go right through whatever that white thing is, a fence or whatever?

I watched the whole thing.
If I had to give a debunk idea, it would be a mostly deflated mylar balloon... but I don't think that works. If it was a mylar balloon, it would have spun at some point, presenting a much wider image for the camera.
Maybe a plastic bag with some helium in it. It goes airborne after it gets near the building, which makes sense, as up drafts occur close to buildings in the presence of very little wind.

As I was watching it, that was my first thought...a somewhat deflated balloon.

I wonder if its some sort of galactic rule to only allow videoing potentially weird stuff on low camera resolutions from 1996

I think I've debunked this, all CGI.

The website in the bottom corner of the video iha.com.tr, is not on the actual TV screen they're filming but from the footage of the camera they are using. Right away at 0:04 seconds you can see the red box go off frame of the TV set because it's edited onto the clip they are using from their camera.

I visited the IHA website and looked through all their videos, and also videos all the way back to August 2016 on their Facebook page, and did not find the original. Also no paranormal/TMZ/tabloid type footage.

IHA news clips of security camera footage, is actual security camera footage like news from all over the world, not poorly videotaped off a tv screen. It's totally fake.

The flight reminded me of a quad copter when you accelerate.
I'd say some type of quad with something attached.

i cannot be arsed to stare at a 2nd generation recording of an alledged event that is presented with zero back story

the only thing i will say - is it even in turkey ???

i only ask because the turkish official date system is DD //MM //YYYY

the vid uses the american format : mm // dd / yyyyy

it is quite concevable that a turkish firm might buy an off the shelf american CCTV package and install it without changing any factory settings

but with no back story - i just CBA

Its one of those balloons that uses a counterweight at the bottom to keep it on the ground, they use a 1p coin here in the OK so its easy for it to be picked up by a warm gust. The point about the counter weight is that as it drags along the road it gives the balloon a sideways sway like its walking when in fact its just being lifted a little and swaying from side to side.

Add to that its about the size of a 4yr old and that sort of completes the balloon idea ...

How someone in another thread I saw said it was a Turkish Iron Man robot...LOL...

Seen this type of thing before...a couple of vids from a few years or so ago had much the same type of 'creature' featured.

One was seemingly walking across someones yard, and another crossed a road. If i remember correctly, it was labled as a kind of 'tripod ET'...or similar.

I'll see if i can dig up some links and update this post if i do.

ETA: NOT the original video clip i saw, but shows the same...whatever it is.

Apparently these things have been featured on the local news in California, who have labelled then 'Nightcrawlers'...of course there are plenty of debunkers and people trying to assign 'rational' explanations for these things, from fakes and hoaxes (of which there are BOUND to be at least some fakes by now, especially as it has been featured on the news), misidentified, but known animals and so on.

Whatever they are, it seems quite a few people have seen and caught them on security cameras and so on.

As always...make up you own minds folks.

Here's another clip..

And another:

Yep, that's the videos...nice one. There was another i saw a few years back, where two of these things were caught on camera walking across the lawn of someone's back yard...can't find that one though.

They're called 'nightcrawlers'.

Here's another video clip describing these things.

Apparently Native American legends include these creatures, they say that they came to the woods long before Humans arrived here.

They seem to be peaceful and are respected by the native peoples as a kind of 'forest spirit' creature. The locals have made wooden sculptures and carvings that represent the creatures.

Remember that video that isn't from that website you were talking about?

iha.com.tr friggin video of penguin monster thingy

If you are going to make a claim, and then accuse people of not being diligent, then you should show the same amount of diligence.

I'm as big of a believer as anyone.... and I usually get frustrated when people shoot things down here so quickly...

That being said.. it pains me to say that this is a blatant hoax or something that just isn't what they think.

I agree with the drone idea.

It's a doll attached to a drone with a string.

2 reasons why this is blatant..

1. The object in itself doesn't move.. it doesn't walk it's limbs stay solid.

2. It looks like it's being dragged around by a string.. and when it lifts off the ground.. it spins.. just like something on a string would as the rope twists.

Sorry guys

No need to be sorry, we are open for anything.

I do think that the string/ drone thingy is to complicated as a hoax suggestion though.

Like anything else, this is open to interpretation.
Could this thing in the OP's clip be a hoax..sure it could.

I just think it's an odd coincidence that very similar creatures are the stuff of folklore in America, and have been for a long time...maybe they aren't confined to the Americas?

Of course, it could also be that someone in Turkey saw the YT vids of the 'nightcrawlers' and decided to see if they could make their own version...who knows.
