I believe he is speaking about communism as those are atheist governments?

It is estimated that in the past 100 years, governments under the banner of atheistic communism have caused the death of somewhere between 40,472,000 to 259,432,000 human lives:

Multiple references:

A slightly differing opinion is Dr. R. J. Rummel, professor emeritus of political science at the University of Hawaii, is the scholar who first coined the term democide (death by government). Dr. R. J. Rummel's mid estimate regarding the loss of life due to communism is that communism caused the death of approximately 110,286,000 people between 1917 and 1987.

Now, we do know that many many were killed under communist governments, but I would probably not agree that they targeted Christians alone - I think they simply targeted anyone who disagreed with their policies in many cases with those exceptions where the governments themselves had made Christianity illegal, which some communist governments have. But I think they made a whole lot of other things illegal too - so there is that.

I asked someone else about the topic, to be honest I never cared that much as I accept dinosaurs as much as I accept the bible and I have never seen the bible as a place to hunt for dinosaurs. But I asked someone else, perhaps gain more insight into the biblical view on this topic, and was given a possible anyway.

Now, while most people see the "giants" which are mentioned in Genesis as the nephalim, there is another possibility due to the wording of the passage. The passage states:

"There were giants in the earth in those days"

Then it goes on to say:

;and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown

There is a disconnect there, as if it is talking of two things, not one. From that, it is possible to infer that the giants, were a separate topic, and as scripture says, there were giants IN the earth, not on. Where are dinosaur bones? In the earth.

It is a possible, but not something which concerns me or worries me much - honestly.

The Holy Bible is just a book. It contains stories that were handed down generation to generation. Then finally written down. Translated a bazillion times. Then a King edited it for his own purpose.

To take the Old Testament, Genesis in this case, as a literal course of events that created us....is insane.

Try to explain how the universe came into being to a caveman. After you have dumbed it down enough, you'd skip the dinosaur part too.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

Link of how it may of went down.

I guess it's possible he thinks communists want to kill him because he denys evolution, or maybe the Mole Men? Who knows...

There's no such thing as 'the banner of atheistic communism' and while those dictators did not posses any belief in gods, it didn't have anything to do with their heinous actions. There's never been any kind of genocide that's was carried out due to a lack of belief in gods.

However, the belief in gods has directly and undeniably led to many such genocides, inspired in part by the genocidal god characters featured in 'holy' books such as the christian bible.

See this is what happens when you get all your information from Conservapedia.....

Well the fossil record proves they existed, I have no problem with them being around millions of years ago.
But then again I believe in old world creation, and the 6 days were epochs of time not 24 hours literal hours, perhaps not all of equal length either.

· I see. I'm a firm believer that anyone who trusts his instincts is trusting God. So if you're constantly learning and your instincts are telling you something, faith in your instincts is faith in God. Instinct is almost separate from free will. Instinct is from God, given to us by God. So if you feel it go with it.

· Please just take my advice on one thing. Don't fear being wrong, if you learn something you thought was true isn't, rejoice because you have learned the truth, don't get confused and lose faith. It just means you learned, not that your not smart or anything bad. I like to try and prove myself wrong sometimes.

Please don't feel the need to offer me your advice, I don't tend to take it from people who think they see dodo's walking around. I'm fairly sure you prove yourself wrong often, but not so sure you realise it.

Ha!!! It was a story I remember hearing on the news as a kid. I have no idea about anything beyond that.

Like it or not, I offered you some good advice. Instead of being pissy maybe you should should just take it. If you don't I don't care, but it was solid advice.

The only dodo bird I know is you.

If I prove myself wrong, I definitely realize it. The fact that I intentionally look for facts that could mean I was wrong is because I don't want to be wrong, if I am I want to know. Might be a difficult concept to you, you probably are never wrong about anything. You're obviously the smartest person ever.

But for us non omniscient mortals we are wrong sometimes, and some of us like to know when.

Last, I have never claimed to see, other than that one news story, a dodo bird. Don't embellish, you are the smartest person who ever lived, it's unbecoming of you. Leave the embellishment to us idiots.

The old try and true no Scotsman argument rises it's head

They were not true atheist because they killed people, sounds like a cop out

Communism by its very definition is atheism, killing people by atheist definition is no different than putting misbehaving animals down

You had better work harder on your atheistic apologetics than that Prez

The missing link hasn't even been found. The fossil record is but a very small blink into history...it can show insight into some things, but will ever only be a puzzle with most pieces missing.

There's no such thing as the 'missing link', it's a dishonest 'creation' conjured up by creationists to confuse their gullible followers.

Either your reading comprehension is at an all time low, or you're being incredibly dishonest. Both are viable.

This kind of irrational and ignorant rhetoric is typical of your posting history.
