I am in utter disbelief that this 'Flat-Earth' nonsense has gained some attention

What would be the reasoning as to lying about the earth being round?

If Earth is flat, and the model is geocentric, then that would suggest that this place was created with a purpose, as opposed to being just a cosmic accident.

I suppose some powers would want humans to believe the latter.

"All other directions are South" really?!

So explain how, whenever you look at the Southern Cross, is South and all other directions aren't.

Well if your compass is pointing north, then the opposite direction is south, am i really explaining this to you? A compass does not seek south, east or west, those directions are a consequence of north being the reference. As i said, look at an equidistant projection, south would still be Antarctica but its the ''outer rim'' so to say and north is the center.

So, by your reckoning, the Southern Cross is everywhere?

Funny how the North Star and Southern Cross is another nail in the FE coffin, yet FE folk still believe it. I'm not going to say what that says about FE'rs.

What do you mean by everywhere? Its exactly where it is no matter the shape, opposite of north. Everywhere? Wtf?

You have said the opposite of North is a ring of ice. That would make South every direction.

You can't even keep up with your own fantasy lol.

So your answer is that we should have blind faith like religious people do towards their bible and deities, we should do the same in the name of science?

Show me where "blind faith" is applied in science? Science does not rely on faith -- it relies on evidence and observable phenomena - the exact opposite of religion.

See, i even said that science is a new type of religion, you can't even name how space travel actually helps anyone on this earth.

Yes I can. It allows us to travel off this earth, find other planets capable of sustaining human life and allow our species to ever grow and expand in the universe. What sort of idiot thinks we should stay forever on earth?

What you are implying is that we should protect and worship machines over nature?

Who said that? I didn't say that. Show we where I said that.

I just can't see how being aware of nature or even being a tree hugger so you call some, is bad for humanity?

Never said it was bad for humanity. I said the only 'salvation' for our species is science. But i didn't say tree huggers are bad for humanity.

Not all science is bad but this space thing and globe earth is just silly.

That's because you have no vision or ambition. And if you believe the earth is flat then you're also an idiot.

They remind me of me when I was a kid....I would make up some far fetched story and then support it with some false evidence just to see if I could make someone believe it was true . You know....just for a few minutes for the fun of it. But it appears these people are actually serious. ....It's actually very scary if you ask me. It shows just how gullible people have become.

They wouldn't even need to go to space to realize the earth is not flat. Just take a boat out on the ocean at night and have a light that can be elevated up and down set up on shore . Have them head away from shore until the light is out of sight. Now have their friends on shore elevate the light until they can see it again. Now ask them how that happened. ..I would love to hear their answers.

Wow, you flat earth people need to put away your computers and get out more.
I have been around the world more than once on ships and As a navigators assistant i can assure you that the earth is round..
When i see some of the arguments for a flat earth it just saddens me to see the lack of education out there..
The worst thing is that people get sucked into the argument as well..
You must realise that the majority of these flat earth people are just young kids trying to wind you up or people that don't have any life experience and just follow the crowd...
Honestly, it's like being in a school playground here sometimes... Get a life people and enjoy yourselves..

See, what i said is true.

Just a bunch of assumptions built upon other assumptions.

Honestly, if you still believe the earth is round, please explain and educate me on how exactly did the universe come about? Where do people come from, and where does intelligence originate?

Those questions are not for me, it's for the ''young'' people, and you globe earthers who are literally defending ''scientism'', i didn't even know there was a word for it lol.

Real science requires one to scrutinize and question everything, these evolution models, globe earth and space have somehow become a fact through pictures and the education system, if none of you question authority or what you are told compared to what one can see and sense, then YES you people do really need to get out and pay attention.

I'll sum up your rant for you...

"I haven't seen it so it's not true! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

I know its amazing, i have not seen the curvature EVER, and all globe models and everything that's in the same suit case full of northing requires the curvature to be true, but one cannot see it, so everything they said that has anything to do with the globe earth is BS.

Just like Austrailia? I haven't seen it. Millions of people haven't seen it. By your FE'r logic, it doesn't exist.

This is the problem with flat earthers. They HATE science, yet they use it daily. It's almost like it's a religion.

Funny thing is, you possibly wouldn't be alive without parts of the SAME science that PROVES the world is a spheroid.

No doubt you'll come back saying "it's apples and oranges" or some other bs claim you can't back up. FE'rs never can back anything up.

For crying out loud APPLES and ORANGES Terry you gotta stop that.

People can afford to go and see a lot of places and things that you keep bringing up. One cannot go into space via a purchase of a ticket, or the moon.
One cannot see curvature or really know what a star is.

And you are comparing the two as if its some strong argument no one can get passed, pffffffft.

Saw that coming.

Millions of people can't afford to go to Austrailia. All they have is other peoples words and photos.

I guess it's not real if you use FE'r logic.

It's EXACTLY the same argument you're using. "People can't afford to go to the moon or space so it's not real"

You can put a camera high enough, to see the curvature for yourself, for less than $1000.

If you doubt it that much, test it.

They won't. And they won't believe anyone who HAS done it because they think all cameras have a fish eye lense.

Too damn true!

So, let's help them along;

600g High Altitude Balloon

GoPro Hero 5

You have approx 300g of 'mount' to build, and you will have to source your own helium.

Happy curvaturing.

Not all cameras are fish eye lenses.

Honestly, if its videos and pictures instead of going outside and doing the simple experiment i mentioned way back when, we can do this ALL day, everyday.
