Don't under-estimate TPTB. And, DON'T BE SURPRISED if Obama is still POTUS, in 2017. It IS POSSIBLE for a U.S. President to serve a 3rd term. Maybe even, the VP becoming POTUS. Heck, the way things are, now, i'd say a dictatorship is right around the corner. The American people chose safety and security over "freedom" and "liberties", so.........anything is possible, at this point in time.

Even the 5 gallon kool-aid drinkers would wake up from that.

Than again they got Republicans to go against the free market and support socialism by starting the Bailouts.

Trump - The outsider.

ya have to wonder,

www.bloomberg.com...
The prospect of Trump in the White House is ratcheting up anxiety among the 2,500 business and political leaders gathered at the Swiss ski resort for the annual World Economic Forum.

why are they so afraid of him

Sanders. Socialist, yes. Focuses more on social programs and raising taxes on everyone then major issues like the Middle-East and the crippling debt hanging over the country. At least he isn't considered establishment, denied the Super PAC bribes and isn't bought by special interests.

That's just it though. You're incorrect about him raising taxes on everyone. He isn't. Tax increases only start for those making around 250,000 and up.

I looked for dirt in Trumps past, there isn't much there, all You have to do is a simple search of Hillarys name and its all bad. Trump has created more jobs than all combined running. Trump is far from perfect but at least he has the interest of the U.S. at heart, he doesn't need any more money and he has stuck to his story of it being a matter of having to run, not wanting to, said it on Oprah 30 years ago.

When i say outsider, I do not mean he does not know anybody. He does. A lot of people and politicians. However, he is not part of what you would call 'the good ol boy network'. He reminds me of the kid who was bullied who tries and tries, sometimes a bit too hard, to show he can do it to.

He is the MOST transparent candidate this election season and could be in the last century.

Are you kidding? Sanders only appeals to college kids, uneducated people, and people looking for free stuff. Once those kids graduate college or quit and get a job, they'll hate Sanders too.

That's what MSM wants you to believe and you've fallen for it.

Sanders always talks about empowering the middle class at the expense of the super rich and corporations and, considering how much they've been abusing of their power, there's nothing wrong with that.

Clinton's only fans are blind feminists that forget how much she's a manipulative liar, Trump is a total joke only appealing to oblivious racists bigots and every other candidate simply has no chance in hell.

I don't watch the MSM. What I said is what I heard from Sanders in the last DNC debate. So I don't know what I fell for other than what he said. He said he'll be raising taxes on the middle class too, so that healthcare premiums for us can be lower. I'm neither a racist, nor a bigot, which ironically is exactly what the MSM claims Trumps supporters are, and you conveniently ate that up while claiming I ate something up that came straight from the mouth of Sanders himself.

Sanders will probably win but even then, most of his ideas will hit a dead-end in congress because

1- They are bribed
2- They are mostly republicans
3- Republicans always vote against Democrats even when it's a good idea simply because the idea didn't come from them

So many things wrong in government, I wouldn't know where to start other than kicking everyone out and starting anew.

If Republicans were voting against democratic ideas then those of us who elected them wouldn't be so eager to replace them with competent Republicans that do what they say they're going to do. They're only voting against very few ideas coming from the white house. It was in 2006 when all this crap began, because the Congress was held by democrats and they literally shot down every single thing Bush did.

Are you sure you're not the one listening to the MSM and gobbling it up as gospel? All of your talking points seem to come straight from the MSNBC/MotherJones/Salon type of anchors.

I'm an independent too, but I think he's honest. I'd vote for him over Hillary, Trump, Cruz, Carson and Bush...probably over O'Malley (who tried to tax rain water), Fiorina and most of the other ones too.

If you're making 250,000 or more your taxes will go up. Less than that and nothing changes.

Where does his plan say that? I do not see that on his website. What I have read from him is he wants to raise the FSOC Limit which is a tax increase for those making over 250k. That can be two people with 4 kids that have good jobs. SOrry, that is upper middle class these days. To pay for UHC he wants to tax the employer 6% and the employee 2% and also take away breaks or subsidies for offering healthcare. He wants to give tax credits. Credits??? Just lower the taxes it is my money to begin with....

This statement alone...

Today, we lose over $100 billion a year in revenue because the wealthy stash their cash in offshore tax havens around the world. That is unacceptable.

If we are serious about reforming the tax code and rebuilding the middle class, we have got to demand that the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

How will making the rich pay more taxes lower mine? You see, at a quick glance it is 'stick it to the man'

The same with speculators on Wall-Street. How is taxing them more lowering my taxes. What it will do is take away jobs from small business owners and large businesses will say we are not taxed s much we need to lay off 5, 10, 20k workers.

Line has been used too much
every presidental hopeful since like..Carter has been screamed as the most socialist person since like Lenin, and therefore dont vote for him
And people listened to the presidental hopefuls speak and realized it wasn't horrible what they were saying...(because they weren't even remotely socialist), so made clinton and obama president without any huge issues regarding the fear of socialism occuring

Well, what happened was over the years, the term lost its sting due to crying wolf over and over..now an actual socialist is up and voila..people dont give a poop simply because the term lost its meaning from abuse.

Give it another 20 years and a nazi will be up due to the term losing all meaning
the right created this by calling everyone a socialist.
Dont use words that dont fit unless you are trying to destroy the power of the word. Bernie is indeed a socialist (although he says he wouldn't try to push a full fledged socialism in the US, just add a bit more than what we got already)...why this doesn't panic more people is simple..the term lost value..the right killed the meaning of the word.

What did you do before healthcare was forced on Americans? When you went to the ER, you were billed if you were uninsured. Premiums are unreal, why should raising my taxes to help lower premiums appeal to me as a taxpayer? By free stuff, I'm referring to those who are too lazy to get off their arse and work. If you're disabled or incapable of working, I'm all for helping you out. Free college isn't the answer, neither is an outrageous student loan. What we need to find out is WHY those loans are so expensive and have them lowered by a way that doesn't mean raising our taxes.

I can't afford my own student loans, and I can barely afford healthcare each month, and I sure as hell can't afford the OOP expenses. Tell me how slightly raising MY taxes and slightly lowering MY premiums will help any of that. And to make matters worse, my monthly cost for healthcare went up again this year. Bernie wants to slightly raise my taxes so he can slightly lower my healthcare premiums so I can pay my fair share for America's college tuition and free healthcare for the lower class. Man, if I can't afford any of that crap for myself, why the hell would I want to pay for it for everyone else?

How crazy is it that I can't qualify for my own subsidy, but I can pay for other peoples who can't afford their own, all while I sit here struggling? As far as student loans go, either start laying off professors like this is the oilfield, or start decreasing their pay. It's not like a good percentage of them are worth a damn anyways. I'd start by getting rid of any professor caught cheating and passing students that should have failed (to keep their numbers looking successful), and getting rid of any courses that don't prepare you for life or your field of study, along with the professors that teach only those classes. Then you can concentrate on your professors that are there to get you prepared for the real world and even increase the worthy professors' pay while lowering tuition for students.

I'm sure you can understand the frustration from my middle class point of view. Here's a stat straight from the obamacare site and I didn't fit the requirements, instead I've struggled trying to cover my costs.

Hip hip hooray. I got to help pay for 87% of the people on Marketplace plans.

That's probably why the evergrowing concern of an outdated and unsecure power grid failure hasn't been a concern to be updated. What wouldn't surprise me was if it was hacked or attacked and a state of emergency was declared, therefore stopping the next election.

Do you guys not watch him during the debates? Or maybe he thinks the middle class starts at $250,000.
