The more I read about Putin, the less and less I respect him for his intelligence.

The level of ignorance (or perhaps deception?) in his words is massive here.

Really? He seems pretty smart to me.

But, definitely an enigma. Seems to be a Liberal in that he wants society to run smoothly -- but, without snags -- which requires a more totalitarian control.

Could we somehow get Putin to declare war on Monsanto and Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline?

What a great man. Respect.

There is absolutely nothing liberal about Putin in any sense of the word. His economic policies are not liberal: he has established state owned monopolies. His social policies are not liberal: he has clamped down on freedom of speech and passed puritanical laws including laws persecuting homosexuals. He is purely authoritarian, and wraps himself in nationalism and religion.

I'm curious, are you Russian? I really want to hear from someone who lives in Russia.

It depends on what you consider Liberal. A totalitarian regime can be considered Liberal if it is socialist in providing for all citizens.

Depends on how you assess his LGBT laws (I am MAJOR LGBT supporter). However, the law is you can't promote LGBT to "protect the children" (a phrase I hate, but trying to keep it real). Also, to keep it real, he equated Pedophile with LGBT. Still, there is no law against being LGBT. And as I understand it, by law, they are legally protected.

How much police protection they get is not much different then parts of the USA.

No, I am not Russian, but there are a few Russian members who actually acknowledge being Russian. One of my favorite sparring partners, Victor, is a red blooded Russian who thinks Putin is not aggressive enough!

It's called epigenetics, and yes it's certainly effecting our physiology. To what degree, that's dabatable, we know it takes 3 generations for epigenetic expression so actually those things mentioned can effect our evolving.

I agree with Putin here, honestly much more than anyone in our US government

Epigenetics involves a change in phenotype without a change in genotype, which is the opposite of what you seem to be implying.

Putin looks to me a very smart, intelligent man.

Here is just one study i found, posted 13 januari 2016

Western diets damage gut microbiota over generations, in ways hard to reverse

In other words, you do not care whether something is true, you just believe that Putin is right, even if it's a lie.

Actually everything you seem to believe in is EXACTLY what I shouldn't.

Don't blame me, I'm just following this site's motto.

I can see that. From my readings he almost leans toward pacifism and socialism.

BUT, he has a huge country to control. He's definitely maneuvered politics to benefit his ability to control.

It's going to be what he wants. Power corrupts. How inflated is his ego?

Where vaccines are mandatory in Europe

Most of European countries recommend for example the very dubieus vaccine against the human papillomavirus.

Does anyone know which vaccins are mandatory in Russia ?

What? Putin didn't finally leave office and disappear into the crowd? I'm not interested. Bring me a report says he retired. I'll read.

I trust him far more than the western elitists who worship killing, evil and destruction of their own people.

Oh my!

I guess those who have opposed him don't count...I also guess the killing of his own people as a way to go to war with Chechnya doesn't count either?

Not to mention his Ego has caused undo suffering to his own people with his little foray into Ukraine...he could have had the sanctions lifted had he just pulled his troops out of Ukraine.

I guess if you disregard his allowing of violence against the LGBT community in Russia...

The Fear of Being Gay in Russia
Putin's state has allowed violence against the Russian LGBT community to spike.

You might be right...but his track record says differently.

It's really not that simple. Russia has never had a good civil record of gay rights. It hardly began with Putin. Since Putin you can serve openly in the military but you can be discriminated against..

Not a fan of Putin. But he did not create the inequality. It was always there.

Hell the US just finally came around themselves.

There is no difference between GMO and telling people who's ancestors never ate Avacado that they should eat lots of it because it is high in Omega 3s. The plant defense chemistry of Avacados can cause a lot of problems for twenty percent of the population because they jumped into a new chemistry without appropriate genetic knowledge on how to process it.

Thank you. That's very interesting. This is similar to something else I've heard, except in terms of race; that indigenous healing plants make the best medicines for those native races. So, for example, Mexicans and Native Americans respond best to plant medicines indigenous to North America. And I've observed that within my own family... kinda sorta. Since my family isn't just one race, it's not exactly pure science. But there is that tendency I've noticed. I definitely like your use of genetics rather than race, but there would seem to be a corrolation either way.

You are right, but you need to remember that many of these medicine plants are the same all over the world. Thistle, dandelion, Yarrow, and many others have been used all over the world and are excellent medicines. We should only consume limited amounts of those, cycling them in the diet occasionally. Many foods do not have another close relative that is consumed in other countries. The best way to clear a country of it's inhabitants to take over is to introduce food chemistry that takes them out in a couple of generations.

Some of the ancient medicines became spices as we developed a need for them. If you eat something for generations, abandoning it in the diet can cause severe problems. They establish ancestry in genetics by tracking the eating habits of the cultures which leave little epigenetic markers in our genome. I am sure that use of cardamon formed a genetic marker, same with Saffron.

That's really interesting. Thank you so much for explaining it to me. So many implications and possibilities. I'll be thinking this over for a while! And then do a little more research into it all. Wow.
