some buddhists have a god. i know a buddhist who acknowledges an "all father" and speaks of valhalla rather than nirvana.

erm...

Confirmed by "science"?

What book is this again?

I have no issue with Jesus... only the book you can read about him in

Couldn't be the same book you're referring to in the above statement...

I personally don't recall reading anything that said that the bible was confirmed by science... but maybe scients is a different thing all together?

Let's review these claims, shall we? (This is the first time I've watched this, answers are written in 'real time')

Fact #1: The bible is the best Selling Book of All Time
Review #1: Correct!

Fact #2: The bible is written over a long period of time by various men
Review #2: Correct!

Fact #3: The bible claims to be the word of God
Review #3: Correct!

Fact #4: Jesus did not author any book in the bible.
Review #4: Correct!

Fact #5: The bible predicted the rise and fall of empires centuries in advance
Review #5: False.

Criteria for a true prophecy
~ It must be accurate.
~ It must be unambiguous.
~ It must be improbable.
~ It must have been unknown.

List of wrong prophecies within the bible:
~ Nebuchadnezzar would destroy Tyre
~ Egypt would be a barren wasteland
~ The Nile will dry up
~ Triumph of Judah
~ The Nile will dry up and sea will drain
~ Egyptians will speak the language of Canaan
~ Failure to smite Jebus
~ Israel will extend from the Red Sea to the Euphrates
~ Israel will live in peace with its neighbors
~ Davidic line will endure forever

With this fabulous track record, the only thing we can conclude is that the bible's prophetic words are subject to coincidence just like any other prophetic claim or guess.

Fact #6: The bible is Scientifically Accurate:
Review #6: FALSE!!!!

I can go into detail on all of these if you wish, all these topics are in the bible and the bibles description of them is false:

~ Anatomy of insects
~ The smallest seed
~ Pi
~ Firmament
~ Illumination
~ Stars
~ Planetary formation
~ Rotation of the Earth
~ Bat classification
~ Reproduction with Variation

Fact #7: The bible is historically accurate.
Review #7: FALSE

We've already discussed how it's historical accuracy is beyond flawed. You have yet to explain your rejection of my information on the matter.

Fact #8: Today's bible is very accurate (referring to contradiction)
Review #8: FALSE

The bible is full of contradiction. I can provide a list for you if you need.

Fact #9: Reading the bible has changed the lives of many people
Review #9: Correct!

It certainly has changed many lives, for the better? If a false reality is for the better, then yes.

One could argue that anything that ever exists has "Changed the lives of many people". The Matrix movies have "changed the lives of many people", it's quite evident on this Forum when many people actually believe the Matrix could (or does) exist.

This point is.... pointless

Fact #10: There is a bible called "The Wicked Bible"
Review #10: No idea. don't care.

There you have it. you've provided no information at all and have provided absolutely no validity to your claims.

Title baiting, it can achieve wonders.

Plus, faith is a bit difficult to sustain when we have things like science, which draws from the natural, not the supernatural. It's only expected that a person who uses their mind one way -through objective reasoning- would want to apply that to faith as well: even if doing so kind of stretches the truth a good distance
