Awesome thread.
I've looked into the 411 stories and one can't help but get the idea that something has been swept under the rug or people in authority positions seem to look the other way and all that's ever released is that "It's an ongoing investigation" and then nothing more unless a body is found then there are some reports made but nothing further on that.
Fearless...I DO remember "back in the day" people cutting cyprus in those swamps...I even knew some folks who went barefoot...NOW THOSE folks are fearless!
sixteen year-old Trenny Gibson seemingly vanished into thin air while on a hiking trip with her Bearden High School class. Although Trenny was walking alone, there were groups reportedly behind and in front of her but no one claimed to have seen anything – especially not an abduction. During the search for Trenny, scent dogs followed her trail to the highway before it was lost.
Again thousands of volunteers as well as military personnel spent months searching the mountain terrain for the teenager but it was to no avail. Treeny was gone without a trace.

The realistic parts in my wants to say that for some reason these people wander off path for some reason and then become disoriented and lost. Very easily to do in a dense area but then the other part of this story so brings back the wonderful series on Reddit that scared the living crap out of me lol.
I won't be sleeping tonight, and will never be going into the woods ever again.
They HAVE to be making those stories up for the sake of telling a good scary campfire tale...right?
Oh, I always carry my personal good luck talisman eeeea cold steel, deep blue combate knife and a Ed Brown custom .45 automatic. Oh well, perhaps it keeps Bigfoot away, kind of like shark repellant.
Well ATS, what do you think?
