Hope it is just some angry kid venting and not a real possibility.

The thing is, if someone is capable of coming up with all that very graphic detail, and clearly doesn't have any fears about being traced and caught, they are a danger to others. They've thought about this, they've fantasized about doing exactly what they're describing. That makes them a danger to others.

This is a pretty disturbed individual, even if the authorities are calling this not credible they should be treated as a risk until this person has been found and apprehended.

Yeah, but you need your own device to log into a wifi hot spot and have a current membership to log in at a library, yeah?

Whenever you visit a web page the browser you are using is registered, the IP of the device, even the make and model of a cell phone is listed. All you need to do is cross reference the page and the time the content was posted and you have a detailed picture of that user, then you can see every other page they visited on that site.

Facebook would absolutely be able to find out what cell phone they were using, the IP of it, the operating system, the browser and whatever else that person looked at on the site.

As far as I know, using a VPN or Tor does not change much of that information, because the site connects to your device once you're there in order to be able to deliver the content properly - page by page. The original connection might be masked as it pertains to location, but the rest absolutely isn't.

I absolutely agree that events like these should be taken very seriously, perhaps though, as has been suggested, not in such glaringly soap opera-like ways.

There's another whackjob threatening havoc at Montgomery High School in Bispham, Blackpool, Lancashire, Britain, also via Facebook posts. They can't seem to find him, either:

www.dailymail.co.uk...
The threats were made by a supposed victim of bullying in a chilling Facebook post, where the pupil - calling himself 'John Smith' - promised 'bullets, bodies and blood' in retaliation for years of abuse from his peers.

And there's an unarmed copper, or is it a PCSO, thinking about what he's going to have for his tea.

For my kids' sakes, I'm glad we live in the UK.

It could be a teacher I suppose, but man they need to go back to School if it is.
The first paragraph makes it sound like it could be an adult but the line;

"I want as much targets as possible and I have the element of surprise and all the time in the world."

Probably should read: I want as MANY targets as possible. I have the element of surprise and all the time in the world."
I mean if anything we can rule out an English teacher, just saying.

I was thinking the same thing with the grammar. Even the "my name will be remember forever" it is an important message, you would think the person would have gotten the word "remembered" right. As much as I would think to an adult, it is heavily leaning toward a student. There is mention of classmate he/she never liked and it would seem like this person may have been the butt of a joke, perhaps a homecoming date stood them up or embarrassed them. If it was another girl, she may be feeling not important and perhaps this was reinforced by the security's lack of checking the purse (if it was hers) or paying much attention to this person in the security line, even going so far as not finding her interesting enough to warrant a touch/inspection and just let them pass through.
That is if it was a girl, my bets are on a boy based on what I know of boys that were friends of mine when I was much younger. It just feels right, to me.

[snip]

I can only hope that they catch the person responsible. Being that they used technology to post such comments they should be traceable, unless they really knew what they are doing in regards to surveillance and networking technologies.

If they can't catch the persons responsible it would open another can of worms in regards to the actual intent of this threat.

Three people taken in for questioning in connection with Plainfield cyber threats

Posted 8:09 PM, January 5, 2016, by Greg Margason - Digital Producer, Updated at 11:47pm, January 5, 2016

A statement from the police:

Tonight’s actions (1/5/16) are part of an ongoing investigation by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies from Plainfield Police Department, Brownsburg Police Department, Indiana State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana, and the Hendricks County Prosecutors' Office. Because the investigation is ongoing, we have no further comment at this time.

Apparently the police searched multiple homes, one of those taken in for questioning was a sophomore at Plainfield High, and computer equipment was taken from one or more of the homes.

I'm thinking the person is logging on at the library or coffee shops, I would be watching those areas.

Uh it seems easier to ask every "Millie", "Do you know any really jealous bitch, boy or girl, who hates you?"

pro girl perp: mention of purses, and millie's friends squealing
pro boy perp: mention of gruesome torture and guts

I'm sure they did talk to this Millie but maybe Millie is center of some prank from some jokester halfway across the globe.

The girl in questions actually in protective custody...That is according to someone who goes to the school and knows her/the situation pretty intimately.

I posted a link to reddit last night (page 3/4 of this thread), they've got quite a bit of info on this over there. This iPad makes it a PITA to post links or I'd post it again.

That would be a problem.

By the way, the fact that its about nothing more, stated exactly as you did is, like, your opinion man.

K with that? Okay.

If it was truly about good, honest and unbiased news, it would be quite different wouldn't it.

From what I read on Reddit, I think, the IP was bouncing all over the place, even Russia. What that means, if true, I have no idea, but terrorism or those interested in inflicting fear can't be ruled out. Might not be a student and the Brian Kilmore name sounds made up to sound as " kill more"

Lol, wouldn't it? Actually, I haven't looked at the news in a couple of days (bad, isn't it?) I guess I'll now go browse through a selection of (1500 articles about 50 different things.) Or maybe not I will try to keep up w "the grammar and so on" like everyone says, on second thought not really-

Ok, cya.
