Cover-up claim over NYE mass sexual assaults

A cover up? Every single german news outlet has at least 3 stories on the incident.

Rather a blow up. Pickpocketing gangs are since years a problem i Cologne.
Mixed with the ordinary alcohol fueled new years mayhem a recipe for desaster.

But the story is blown up by right wingers.
There is only one video public (the one posted in this thread). About half of the youth standing around in this video is filming. There are hundreds of cctv cams in an around cologne mainstation.

Despite that, no video of a sexual assault or even a pickpocketing is to be found.

50 pickpockets on a Party night is probably the usual in every city.
Don t get me wrong. These crimes are problem, which should be solved. But use it for political bias is just poor taste.

I think if there is a cover up it's to try and hide the fact that Merkel's open door strategy is about to blow up in her face , so too for the other EU "leaders" who blindly followed.

But Mayor Reker urged people not to jump to conclusions about the Cologne assailants.

I still did not see any proof for a cover up but for the fact that the NYT did not mention the sexual abuses. So what exactly is covered up and why do you think they hide it from us?

ElectricUniverse Is correct, this thread is about a cover-up. So perhaps he can show proof of a cover-up or otherwise conclude that this is a HOAX, after all the burden of proof is his to make.

Isn't it ironic that Electric Universe already cited 2 german news sources (FAZ and express.de) about the case,
somehow trying to proof the german media is not covering the story.

Anyway, it hink the real scandal is in the Police inability.
New years eve is always mayhem. Plus this syear there have been terror alerts at the mainstation in Munich.
So normaly security should be ramped up at and around the main station.

Already the firecrackers should not happen straight next to the main public transport hub.

Well with respect to a cover-up I think the German media is covering the story quite thoroughly. I've looked at several German sources, via Google translate, and there appears to be quite a bit of information. Of course you have to navigate the bizarre way that the German language uses clauses to actually parse any of it.

On the other hand, I've still not seen much in the American press concerning the event. I looked last night and all I found was an AP Press Release from Berlin that was 5 short paragraphs long that didn't provide much information. Looking at my main MSM page a few hours ago, I still didn't see anything published.

This is very interesting, in my opinion. One would think that this is an American far right xenophobe's wet dream. It doesn't get much better than a 1000 of those evil Muslims taking over a German city and raping and robbing the helpless citizens as the police are unable to control the situation. Of course that statement is what is output from my XSM (Xenophobic Spin Machine). However, it appears that the reality of the event is somewhat different than what we originally were led to believe.

It took days for the national news in Germany to actually state that it was done by "Arab and/or North African looking men" but they could not keep on hiding it because of the size of the mob, and so many people complaining about it.

It took days of German people, and others complaining about it in social media for the news to start reporting the perpetrators were Arab, or North African, and that many sexual assaults were committed...

I have seen interviews of REAL SYRIANS stating themselves that the majority of the people "immigrating" to Europe, and the United States are not Syrian, and should not be allowed in these countries.

Go to around minute 11 and 10 second in the following video to see what "an immigrant" has to say about the majority of the "refugees"... watch his interview completely to see what I mean...

Then go to minute 16 to see the interview of a REAL SYRIAN WOMAN who is an immigrant to see what she has to say...



From the countries the majority of these immigrants are coming from, they are used to treating women who do not strictly abide by Islamic Sharia law with violence, including rape...

So from cover up to 'it took days to inform'.

Let me lay out some context:


New Years eve was on a Thursday, Jan 1st. a Friday (everyone, including most journos took that day off to have a long weekend. Monday 4th was the first working day in germany after new years eve, and thats when all News outlets had it as the main Story. (Except for ZDF one single news Station).

The popo said they had 20 accusations of pickpocketing on New years eve.
Most of the victims went to the police only after a couple of days. 2nd January they had about 40 reports, the whole story started to take off in social media.
Only after that another 40 victims went to the cops and made reports.

2/3 of the reports are because of pickpocketing
1/3 sexual assault (touching, grabbing body parts)
1 single case is treated as rape. the woman reported she was wearing a skirt, somebody fingered her, teared off her slip and inserted a finger in her private parts.

It s sick what happendend, the police did a very lousy job, the politicians seem to be rather helpless.
But there is definetly no media cover up.

That it took days for the news media to be reported shows the coverup that was going on as the government of Germany didn't want to be embarrassed after Merkel's open policy letting in 1.5 million immigrants, and showing that this policy will only make things worse in Germany. People who were there, and many who suffered in this attack resorted to commenting in social media instead, as well as giving statements to the police.

Oh and btw, since the 4th news media should have been reporting that so far there were 80 complaints. But some keep claiming it is 60 trying to lower the numbers.

When something like this happens many journalists will jump in on it, if it was some other story.

They claim the suspects were "right-wing" although provide no evidence for this. After all, not that long ago we saw several cases of Islamic radicals attacking their own mosques to make it look like "right-wingers" in the U.S. were the cause. When in fact it was a radical Muslim who went to pray at that same mosque 5 times a day...

So, no...sorry, that claim that "all the journalists from Germany and the rest of the world were on holiday" is patently false and a red herring.

You must be a time traveler. Today is Jan 6.

The police of Cologne got the first complaint short time before midnight on Dec 31. They did not realize how big this was, until more and more complaints dropped in on Jan 1.
On Jan 1 they formed a task force and published on Jan 2 a short report on their website and on facebook, asking for more victims and witnesses to report, too.

On monday Jan 4 they gave a press conference to publish the state of the investigation. This was when the press started to publish the story.
Since then more and more complaints came in. Today they have more than 100. Since the number rose every day, it is very, VERY ignorant to accuse the press or anybody else to keep numbers low by reporting smaller numbers.

If you all look left and right from this thread you should read "DENY IGNORANCE" there. If not, you either changed the size of the screen or you are wearing blinders.

The only error which could be seen as a cover up by a tinfoil head is that they reported on Jan 1 that it was one of the most peaceful New Years nights we had in years. But they had about 850 police operations and to them a good New Years night means something different than to us. During Jan 1 they realized what really had been going on and did not hold anything back.

And to add one thing: The chief of the police of Cologne surely does not call the Kanzleramt on a holiday to ask if Mrs. Merkel gives clearance for his report.

Agree, I would help also I wish I had been there.. No Pictures or footage or any other men around and I know for sure German men would not stand idle while their wives or children were being assaulted . There must have been some fighting as the women involved would not have just let this happen. I will wait for some better official story as I presume the Right wings flap flapping are having a propaganda fest..
