Why?

Saudi Arabia is the source of most the ME problems and terrorism.

Both Iran and Saudi Arabia have funded Terror, we know this for a fact, so to act like Saudi is the only bad guy in this is both dishonest and completely off base

You have two countries both funding terror and proxy wars from both sides

As far as im concerned they are BOTH just as responsible for destabilization in the ME as any of the countries combined in the region

There is a wider context.

The wider context is the same old bollocks - Sunni v Shia.

The common denominator in nearly, if not all, Middle Eastern conflicts seems to be the enmity between various factions of Sunni and Shia's.
Both sides are covered in blood.

Huh? Has Iran been talking about creating a caliphate? Are you confusing them for ISIS?

Actually, for quite awhile, Iran was the main source of terrorism in the world, going so far as to sponsor conferences for "freedom fighters" in the 80's. The Saudi's quickly caught up though and at this point in history, you'd be hard pressed to call either of the two the biggest supporter of terrorism worldwide as both have fingers in revolutions, insurrections, civil wars and terrorist actions around the globe.

Throw in Pakistan and I would wager you could account for 90% of funding, training and support for militant islamists across the world.

When’s the whole world going to ostracize this barbaric country, Saudi Arabia?

Never… because the US is so deeply intertwined and bribed by the blood-oil money that soaks the US soul and may in the end be responsible for the very destruction of the world.

Remember the Saudis are wholly responsible for ALL the worlds’ recent terrorism through their crazy Wahhabi sect.

They at first nurture militants on this hatred and sectarian poison of Wahhabism and it created the terrorist: Taliban, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al Shabab, and Boko Haram ALL OF THEM you could lead back to Saudi Arabia.

The Prophet Muhammad prophesized that Arabia would be ruled by Shaitan out of the Nejd

That’s the area the Saudis are from!

America has sold its soul for oil wealth and it will likely lead to the destruction of the world

Iranian Caliphate?

Doesn't ring any bells here.

Saudi is home to the holiest Islamic sites and by extension the Saud family view themselves as their protectors.
The Saud family has previously alluded to its desire to extend its power and influence within the Muslim world but at present it is under enormous pressure from various sources both domestic and external.

Obviously everyone is aware of IS's desire to build an Islamic Caliphate governed in accordance with its interpretation of Sharia Law.

The Ottoman Empire claimed to govern over an Islamic Caliphate and its not unreasonable to think that Erdogan has the desire to bring about a modern day version.

But Iranian Caliphate?

If anything there are elements within Iran that seek to manipulate events to force The Mahdi to come out of occultation.
I'd imagine the establishment of any sort of Caliphate would run contrary to those desires.

This debacle has the potential to spiral out of control and bring in the US in the middle. This never works out well as alliances are formed and troops mobilized.
Once Israel tries to use this conflict to their own ends....watch out. Pakistan is just itching to use their Nukes.

We had cheap gas for awhile....$4.00 a gal by the end of March.

The Iranians are crazy but not as crazy as the Saudis.

Regarding any Mahdi… the last place he would go is to Iran

The Mahdi might show up but would ally with the Aga Khan, a westernized, Liberal,
tolerant Islam not the sectarian madmen in Iran who would likely try to kill the Mahdi.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment.

According to Shia school of thought he will appear in Mecca and....

......The vast majority of people who profess to be Muslim will be so only in name despite their practice of Islamic rites and it will be they who make war with the Mahdi.

Now this suggest that he will be Shia living in Sunni Saudi.

I don't know, I suspect not.....most people who believe themselves to be of divine origins tend to be sociopaths and they tend to gravitate towards those of a similar disposition.

why havent the us done the same as iran?
sa is the major funder for so called islamic militants
sa qas the ones who hit world trade center and pentagon and hid behind 19 so called terrorist
sa leads the way for child brides everywhere way to go there someone needs to take care of the elderly old men
sa still has some of the most middle aged forms of punishment for simple crimes stoning. forced amputation . beheading, and immolation . so why isn't the usa doing the same we too should cut ties with them yes i know sa cut ties with iran but we truly should cut ties with them.

Of course that all depends on ones perspective. You've obviously exposed yours.

We haven’t had any modern holy men of any real stature ( mass following) to decide one way or the other: go to the sane religious people or the insane.

All these religious sectarians have fantasies of a religious superman coming to confirm their cult...its as old as religion

I'm not trying bring on world doom here...but Iran should go to war with Saudi Arabia. Just end this bovine scatology. End it now and let the spoils of war go to the victor.
I am tired of hearing this Sunni vs. Shia crap over and over again. Do the deed and just end it for once and for all. Just don't involve American soldiers. We've had enough of M.E. crap. Bomb yourselfs to the stone age, because that's where youre ideologies belong.

There was a Shia Caliphate way back yonder.

The Fatimid Caliphate (Arabic: الفاطميون‎, al-Fāṭimīyūn) (909-1171) was an Ismaili Shia Islamic caliphate that spanned a large area of North Africa, from the Red Sea in the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west. The dynasty ruled across the Mediterranean coast of Africa and ultimately made Egypt the centre of the caliphate. At its height the caliphate included in addition to Egypt varying areas of the Maghreb, Sudan, Sicily, the Levant, and Hijaz.

Yeah I imagine people felt the same way about Europe before the two wars that killed together 80 to 100 million people.

Imagine that, WW1 killed 20 million and WWII killed 60 to 85 million

Human beings have to have something to fight over don’t they?

Either religion or nation.

Mostly nation with religion on the side
