It does not matter if a worker collects a subsidy and is included in the number. It is the mere fact they have to. 20 years ago a person did not need 3 part time jobs and a EBT card to survive but that is what it has come to and don't blame Bush or anyone else. 7 years to clean it up and still nothing.

Come on, man.

The middle class has been declining for fifty years. It's way beyond the ability of any president to fix. You can't just slap a tariff on China and bring the industrial base back to the U.S.

I'm not a big Obama fan but you can't lay this all on him. For starters the entire economy was on the brink of collapse when he took over.

It started it's decline after 9/11.No one seems to remember how suddenly there were huge layoffs and labor went overseas. The 80's were great and in the 90's you had the internet boom so people had all of this 'false' profit sharing money used to buy no-income verification homes, over extend credit as well as NAFTA. It collapsed finally in about 2004-5 time frame. It was the fault of the Clinton administration for allowing the over inflation, Bush for not regulating the housing market/bankers before the crash but Obama said he could fix it all and there is nothing to show for it. That is the short version....

I am not blaming just the current admin but it is time to stop blaming the predecessor and do something. Instead we have a lame duck who is pass EO's for gun legislation and immigrant Visa's to take more american jobs.

Take me back to the 50's even though i was not alive it was prosperous.

Trump is pandering primarily to angry white guys and their families who blame everyone else for their ills. . Many of these folks don't vote, they yell and scream and blame everyone but themselves, but historically they don't vote. So for the most part its all moot. My only data for this statement is watching and listening for the past 50+ years.

I'm not sure. I've been listening for a while myself (49) ... and I get something slightly different.

First of all ... Trump signifies a shift for many Americans away from the simple tendency of "being nice" that was established in the 60s and 70s. No need to be nice to those other people who "aren't like you" anymore ...

Second of all, Trump is letting many blue-collar Americans buy into the meme of "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" that so many imagine themselves to be. Many of these people glorify money and those who have it.

Third, "The Donald" character is the epitome of a bully ... and sadly, it seems, some Americans really like bullies. I've said before, what I see is that Mr. Trump has gone so far into enacting this character he created for TV that he has become that character. (And some people LOVE IT)

It is not angry white guys...it is all races, religions and ages. Educated and not educated. 2008 held a lot of promise. Hell, deep down, I hoped that maybe he would be what as needed even though I did not vote for him. Maybe he would cross a divide and noooooope, didn't happen. Our country has taken a step back in many ways that is very unfortunate. I do not hate the man i just think he has been a #ty POTUS.

I am not angry at Obama, I am angry at people like Ryan and Pelosi. Those dirtbags...

400 people were polled. Is it the fault of those polling that only 10 were black?

Yes exactly it is. They did not get a good sample of people. Normal surveys would not even poll that group, they would get another sample that represents the data set they are trying to poll.

I hope everybody remembers the comments like this next time a poll comes out in their favor. I just think it's ironic that if this was a poll for Clinton and 4 out of 6 polled blacks said they'd vote for her, this poll would be legit to the same ones downing it.

Instead, people have searched deep and wide to find a way to basically say "No way, democrats always get the vote of minorities." I know it sucks for y'all that a GOP candidate is pulling in more minority support than normal, but you can blame the current president for this Trump popularity. And and Republicans that hate Trump can blame the useless Congress for Trumps popularity. And supporting him doesn't make you a racist.

Look this is just a bad poll regarding blacks and Hispanics. It has nothing to do with a GOP candidate doing well with a specific demographic, it just is not statistical significant. Not too mention that it is a HUGE outlier compared to all the other polls. Lumping all the polls together tends to give you a good sample.

Here us a poll that shows only 11% of Hispanics like Trump. Only 11% of Hispanics like Trump That and many others show about the same level of support. Now the poll in the OP, which was done in Sept, is a HUGE outlier. If the poll was true other polls would start to show this support and so far none other have. Go ahead and keep with your wishful thinking, you are going to be surprised when this does not occur.

Indeed. Our politicians would be more believable if they remembered that fact.

Oh yes, I saw that Mr. Ryan is now officially persona non grata among certain Republicans ... you know, for actually doing his job and getting a funding bill through the House.

You guys really do need to split into several parties ... you just don't seem to agree with each other on much anymore, by and large.

Starting to look like Democrats, with all this infighting, LOL.

Well that is when you started to pay attention, it started in the late 70's early 80's. productivity vs earnings

The best part of the article said that trump will make america great again lol.

A retarded snail could make America great again...all it has to do is NOT do what Obama has. Trump will make it great for real Americans, admired by allies and feared by enemies. But how much does it take to smell better than a lump of crap?

Yep, (Godwin's is inescapable here ...)

One of Hitler's catch-phrases was "Germany for Germans" wasn't it?

Prolly should have said "real Germans."

Anyone believing that 40% of even black republicans support Trump is in need of a brain transplant! Don't even suggest that 40% of overall black voters support him.

People will believe anything.

I'm not going to try and debunk the poll, because everyone with an IQ above 70 knows this poll is BS

But anyway, I find it extremely sad that Donald Trump has a large fan base on this website, a website which motto is "Deny Ignorance"

I personally can't believe the stars and flags for this fairy tale of a thread. It truly should have started out with "once upon a time..." SMH.

What, you mean stop torturing people and not invading countries in the Middle East?
And you seriously support a bloviating ignoramus with a bad comb-over? Who know nothing about the word? Seriously?
Well, that makes me depressed.

It won't be at all surprising if Trump starts screaming about vote rigging if he begins losing and turns the Republican race into an even bigger circus than it is already.

"Everyone knows I was ahead in all the polls! Stupid! Stupid!"
