Seems Democrats just refuse to leave well enough alone.

They will not be "one-upped" under any circumstances.

Here's another dumb-founded survey that shows astonishing results !!!

Just last week, Democrats in the media were guffawing over a poll which showed 30% of Republican primary voters would bomb the fictional city from Disney’s Aladdin. This week a Republican polling group asked a similar question of Democrats, and the results were even more embarrassing, with 44% of Democrats saying they’d support taking in refugees from Agrabah.

WPA Research asked Democrats “Would you support or oppose allowing refugees from Agrabah to be re-settled in the United States?” In response, 44% of respondents said “yes.” Young Democrats, between 18 and 34, were especially eager to help the mythical refugees, with 66% saying they would support taking them in.

So what does this mean? The Democrats are more kind and Christian-like, even if the refugees are from a fictional land?

You don't see the difference?

Not knowing that Agrabah is a fictitious place is only half of the problem. The other half was the fact that the people who said to "bomb them" did so because it didn't matter to them who it was, just bomb them. That's some scary stuff.

It's like "Hey, do you think we should bomb-" interrupted by "Woah, let me stop you right there and just say yes".

Honestly, if you asked me if we should take refugees from Narnia, I would say "yes' because they are refugees and it doesn't matter where they come from. If you asked me if we should bomb somebody, I would damn sure double check where they are talking about.

Big difference.

It's certainly ridiculous and reminds me of something you would hear when Leno did Jaywalking routines on Late Night. But how is accepting refugees fleeing a fictional country more embarrassing that being willing to bomb a fictional country into oblivion? I'll take the open hearts & arms people over the bloodthirsty any day.

And 30% of the republicans wanted to bomb Agrabah. Right?

So this poll finds that a third of the U.S. population suck at Middle Eastern geography?

Great.
Stop the presses.

No it means...

Democrats are so desparate to find more people to give Taxpayer's hard earned income.

That inspite of nearly 20 Trillion in debt, Dems will make up people to give money to.

But wait! There's more!
41% of Trump supporters want to bomb Aladdin's home town.

To put some of these findings about real modern day issues and Trump voters in context, 41% of his voters think Japanese internment was a good thing, to 37% who don't. And 41% of his supporters would favor bombing Agrabah to only 9% who are opposed to doing that.

Ah! I get ya,

Let the refugees in, then bomb them....right?

I must admit though, that's very cost effective, just one or two Bermbs. Why'd nobody think of that before?

Well yes because those bombs that get dropped are free right?

Did you miss the bit about the 30% of the other guys that wanted to bomb them? I am not a mathamatician but I recon those bombs cost a fair bit and guess who's paying for the death explosions.

90% of Americans are fat lazy and stupid.

Not surprised by anything anymore.

To the question "Does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth," 26 percent of those surveyed answered incorrectly.

www.npr.org...
hubpages.com...

Americans are not known for their knowledge of geography (or science). There are many right here on ATS, who think that New Zealand is in the wrong place or that the world is flat.

I don't think the government has much to do with such.

Well given the OP I think that it would be more like 76% but I see your point.

I guess you see yourself as in the minority then?

That's good, they eventually showed both sides of this. Agrabah basically acts as an unknown city, so you are really asking the Republicans if they would want to bomb something (yes / no) and the Democrats if they would want to accept refugees from somewhere (yes / no). Honestly, no one on ATS probably knows the names of all of the middle-eastern cities, or even all of the cities and towns in Syria, so it is not surprising at all that people taking the survey don't.

Basically, this is simply a reactionary "But...but democrats are ignorant too!" thread with a Brietbart poll to "back it up."

SMH.

One group wants to bomb arabic sounding people, another wants to help people.

Accurately reflective of the current political climate. This poll simply proves one group of people is more accepting and human, and the other isn't, as many of us already knew.

Ya, ya.

The Republicans spend just as much as the Dems and their masses approve of their over-spending as well.

That line has been over-used.

I reason that of adult Americans, roughly 1/3 have no clue as to what they are talking about, let alone the "where" in question is located. That's embarrassing, but they vote in droves don't they!

I bet that if Obama was on the ballot again in 2016, just as a joke, he'd get at least 5% of the popular vote from ignorant people, maybe another 5% from the F-it crowd...what do y'all think, 10%, higher or lower?
