More insanity in France as police investigate a suspected radical and find interesting items. A fake pregnancy belly lined with aluminum foil. that is a new one, I assume that defeats x-ray machines?

www.express.co.uk...

PUBLISHED: 00:00, Wed, Dec 23, 2015 | UPDATED: 22:08, Wed, Dec 23, 2015

The woman, 23, who has not yet been identified, was arrested with her husband in Montpellier, in the south of France.

Authorities arrested the couple after neighbours said the woman showed signs of becoming radicalised.

In a search of their home police agents found a prosthetic belly inside which was covered in tin foil.

Investigators have also said the woman told relatives that she wanted to "die a martyr."

French counter-terrorism agents said the couple had “disturbing profiles,” according to the French media reports.

Officers searching their home allegedly confiscated material related to al-Qaeda and Islamic State (ISIS), also known as Daesh.

However, the woman claimed she bought the fake pregnancy bump on the internet so she could shoplift items from the department stores without raising alarm.

It comes as France continues to be on high alert following the Paris terror attacks on November 13 which killed 130 people. ISIS claimed responsibility for the massacre.

Glad they were caught, and that the neighbors did not fear reporting their radicalization out of "PC" concerns, and you know it's funny well not really funny, but more sickening, that people would actually attack others for "living in fear" emasculate them, and try to label them bigots, for doing their due diligence. makes you wonder who's side some folks are on.

Let's not jump to conclusions, everyone. This woman was clearly a Conspiracy Theorist that has found that the best way to protect ourselves from aliens/governments from getting in and reading our minds isn't tin foil hats... it's tinfoil bellies.

Those are some pretty damn good neighbors. Great for them! This incident instantly reminds me of the shooting not too long ago in the States where the neighbor DIDN'T call the authorities on the man that showed aggressive signs (then, later, he shot and killed several people)

They should be rewarded
Looks like everything went well here. Good job France

How do you show signs of being radicalized? What are the signs in case I run into someone potentially radicalized?

The article was vague and never used quotes when reporting that so if it is common sense I would have someone tell me.

WOW. Neighbors SAID the woman 'showed signs' of becoming radicalized? Fake baby bump that can be bought on Ebay found?

What 'materials' did they find? They might find the same in my computer history from fact checking posts on this site.

What exactly did they DO? It is sounding like Minority Report.

I think that prosthetic stomach was for exactly what she said-shoplifting.
Lining carrier bags with foil is a trick shoplifters having been using for years to avoid setting off alarms.

Not trying to sympathize with "radicalized" muslims here, but what laws did the woman break? She had a legally purchased fake belly, some propaganda, and hearsay from some neighbors. They didn't catch a terrorist or foil any plot from what the article says. They simply arrested a woman for being suspicious.

If the French aren't careful, they can easily wind up losing their rights over the fear of terrorism.

The did not DO anything, looking at the source, though.

I believe the government sprays Chemtrails, not a real popular idea here, it may even be called 'radical'. Maybe I should be arrested, though I haven't DONE anything about it.

Many people here are really bigoted towards Muslims, though they haven't DONE anything about it. Maybe they should be arrested.

really ralda? She said she wanted to die as a martyr and they found materials relating to isis. What practical use would a tinfoil lined pregnancy belly have?

Being martyred can mean different things to different people. Exactly what threat can they prove she made?

Her relative(s) said she said it. Hearsay. And I saw a WWIII thread here where people said they hoped it came soon with nukes because the planet was a lost cause. Saying it, really meaning it and doing something about it are all different things.

Someone already answered about the tinfoil pregnancy belly. It gets past scanners leaving stores if you shoplift.

People who want to kill innocent people regardless of their affiliations far-right far-left Islamic-extremist should be arrested and thrown in a empty place and stressed with whatever clever ways we can make their lives a living hell.

Chick said she wants to die a Martyr it's a good things it's not up to me, I would grant her that wish.

Because she may have said she 'wants to die a martyr' and there is no real source for that, no name, no real person as a source.

You would kill her because an article says that someone (we are not sure who) said she said it?

Get a grip.

Jesus died a martyr without harming a soul. Right now muslims are an easy target. What happens when they target our rights. You're letting fear dominate your thinking.

YEP. And I can't believe some people here are going along with this. TechX was all ready to kill this woman.

Guess who's next?

Liberal and Conservative Conspiracy Theorists are probably high on that list.

There are a BUNCH of conspiracy theories we all tend to agree on.

People should THINK before they type based on no evidence.
