Ok maybe Christmas has pagan origins but its still a Christian holiday. So you endorse persecuting minorities? I swear as long as Christians are the ones being mistreated atheists find no problem. Its so hypocritical

What this does show is that Sharia Law, when implemented, destroys the freedoms of minorities. You have to be Muslim or you get taxed, stoned, forced to convert, or imprisoned.

It is not just a suppression of a religion it is a suppression of the whole country seeing that it would mean an economic boom that otherwise leaves this poor nation even poorer.

Western values are irrelevant. What matters is that our entire outlook is informed by the constitution. In that document we have freedoms that are granted to all, not just those that believe differently than the people that wish to define "western values".

I see a lot of posts saying "its their country they can do what they want" or "country founded on muslim beliefs". You know I actually agree with everyone saying that. They can ban what they want, even Christmas because like was said before its their country founded on their beliefs.
