(Sorry for double post)
This is probably just really bad luck, but something very peculiar happened and it really screwed me over.
So today I had some finals, was ready to take them, spent the whole night studying and doing some assignments last minute. I wake up at 5:40 every day and leave at 6:20. Very tight schedule. My school is far away so I don't want to spend all the gas to get there in my car, so I save lots of money riding the bus.
So tonight I'm studying hard and finish at 5:00, 40 minutes before I had to wake up so I figured I'd at least get some shut-eye. I wake up expecting it to be close to the time where I wake up, and to my horror the clock reads 7:02. Now, I don't use the clock/alarm applications on the phone since a simple thing of forgetting to turn sound on can ruin your day, so I have one of those old '90s clock radios. Always goes off, extremely reliable.
Here's the peculiar thing though - I have three alarms, an extra one in the middle just in case the first one doesn't go off and I can still leave in time. But the probability of all three alarms not going off is very unlikely. The only thing I can imagine is I was so tired I hit the "Reset Alarm" button in my sleep, but I've had many restless nights and the alarm always brings me straight up from my bed.
So, I figured, alright I'll just take my car there. I get ready, get in the car and put the keys in the ignition and it says I'm almost out of gas when I distinctively remembered having it 3/4 of the way full.
So now I'm just laying in bed wondering what the hell happened and what I'm going to do about making up these finals. Just wanted to share.

Guess so. Maybe they were trying to stop me from walking into a school shooting, who knows?

I can't wrap my head around how it never went off. Definitely something weird is going on.
As I already explained skyviews list of 20,000 objects doesn't include 9000 of the 29000 objects larger than 10cm, some of which are "space junk" like rocket boosters and not bona fide satellites, and rocket boosters can look pretty much like the video posted in this thread when they tumble.

That's odd, why is it that SkyView says it isn't identified as a satellite?

hi, am new to this but have had some very similar experiences.
what you have seen its just some satelites they are very commun.
if you go outside and spent some time after dark looking into the sky you should be able to see some ,if your luky will see some ,maybe three or more in one hour.

How many different screens do you have to look at on SkyView to even see all the 20,000 satellites it does have, have you figured that out yet?

Can you explain how it was moving, its light etc.? Some details are very important to tell if it was a real ufo (most likely from extraterrestrial origin) or just something explainable.
So in other words, you're not very proficient with or familiar with how to use SkyView, so when you say it didn't show up on SkyView, that may be true only because you were not looking at the right screen.

I can't tell you the exact number of screens I have to go through as I didn't count, I just know I went through a lot.
I fail to see why with your good viewing conditions you couldn't see some of these 29,000 objects more than three times. You could be seeing something else but really that argument makes no sense to me.
The problem with it being as simple as "space junk" is the fact that I've seen it three times, the first two almost being in the same spot but closer. As much as I wish it was coincidental, I don't think that space junk would appear this oftenly and have the apperance that it does.
