You guys are getting so carried away over this gun issue you seem to have lost your common sense... and yet you oppose making an effort to keep guns away from suspected terrorists on our own soil.
I gave it a try. I still can't stomach listening to him twist the truth. Thank you RT. I ran the song "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley behind Mr. Obama's speech and LMAO!

LOL the most violent man on the planet wants to control gun violence in America while arming terrorists in Syria?

I don't have to ask myself why. I know why. It's common sense. Yes, they can continue to make their pathetic, cheap grocery store/hardware store bombs, and there is not much we can do about it.
But with this, I guess we'll never know until we try. Look, this is not a slippery slope. This is about one issue.
Terrorists buying guns. That's it. Take off your NRA blinders.

Nothing new.
He doesn't reassure me.
Calls for more gun regulation and finishes up saying that freedom is stronger than fear.
What in the name of common sense is wrong with saying suspected terrorists shouldn't be able to buy guns?
I couldn't agree more.
He also said "ISIL doesn't speak for Islam", with which I also agree.
To the first....
What stops him from putting you on the no Fly list?
To the second....
He has said that before.
You guys are getting so carried away over this gun issue you seem to have lost your common sense. Every one of the Republican candidates are screaming to decimate the middle east, especially Trump and Bush, and yet you oppose making an effort to keep guns away from suspected terrorists on our own soil.
I think I might be starting to believe in chemtrails. Something's driving everybody crazy.

Digging your heels in and plugging your ears and humming the same old tunes is nothing but, again, childish and useless.
Or you could look at it as being 110 million armed Americans that are actually listening to what is happening.
That will not change...because there a 110 million armed Americans...and only 800 Americans on the terrorist no-fly list that they are proposing to use.
The K1visa thing in my view is even more critical. They should expand that to include H1Bs too. And for plain old visitors on visas or coming in without...the no-fly list.
As for the argument that if only 800 Americans are on the list then well you have to be an American to buy a gun...ever hear of getting a false ID once your here? Yeah. That doesn't happen.
...The president is misleading the public about what we have to work with in Syria... there is no plan to destroy ISIL, there's a plan to hand this mess to the next president... The president and his entire administration is misleading you about the nature of the threat and the capability we have against ISIL...

AWKWARD!
I am reading there are more than 700,000 people and counting on the list.
Jesus
And less than 10,000 of them are US citizens. Far, far fewer are on there by accident. Maybe a thousand or two.
While it’s reasonable to estimate that there are 700,000 people on this list, only a small fraction are American citizens or legal residents. Experts said it’s likely that only about 10,000 are Americans, while the rest are foreigners.
Link
Let's get a little perspective, reason and logic here folks before we all start to freak out.
The "no fly list" by and large is used to keep foreigners who are suspected of having terrorist connections from being able to buy and use airplane tickets.
So before we let our fear overcome us, act and say rash and untrue things -- lets take a look at the actual facts of the matter before we start to collectively loose our minds.

Yeah, he said that.

Yeah, he said that.
He's the one sending all the assault weapons and who knows what else to the middle east?
He's the one trying to overthrow a government in a foreign country?
He's the one wanting to create more lists?
Well, why not go all out and create a task force?

Oh geebus.
Compromise among non-terrorist Americans, okay? Do you really need things spelled out to you at that level of detail?
They're not talking about disarming. Get a grip.
And you know what? Even if they were, did you read what I wrote above about how compromise could be enacted to prevent that? No. Of course you didn't.
At least some people are trying to start a dialog about real solutions. Clearly there aren't a lot of those here.
My common sense tells me that suspected terrorists shouldn't be roaming our streets freely, let alone being allowed to stroll into a gun shop. They should be in jail awaiting trial.
