He's never seen CAIR act that fast before.

I haven't seen it either.

Both long rifles have been traced and bought legally and traced back to a known name in the investigation per the ATF.

What CNN is saying.

Law enforcement sources:
'There wasn't an argument. Farook was there to "Case" the location.'

Megan Kelly just reported that second name has been pulled back.

'Hoax'.

FOX saying second name may still be a hoax.

I am betting that they have him in protective custody and that's why. I am willing to bet even more that he is lying about no authorities contacting him. If I had to guess, I would say they had contacted him within hours (if not way less) of finding out he existed.

Very good point... I think CAIR came out to do damage control because they were behind/tied to the lawsuit for the mosque and they know their connection to Farook is going to come out as a result. They want to distance themselves from this attack and say they had nothing to do with it.

Everything I found say the reports of bombs were found to be false.

FNC reported it, just after 11 CST. They didn't say "bombs"; they simply said three things were detonated. Suspicious objects could be, that turned out to not be bombs. They didn't say one way or the other on that.

For the thread in general - FNC is also questioning the suspect numbers. Three men reported shooting, then a man and woman killed, and one man in custody, so why are they not looking for another man? Plus there seems to be a push to claiming only two shooters, and not three, which is what witnesses reported.

Very odd, that. Is this like the person of interest in that shooting that included the congresswoman, who dropped off discussion the same day?

The CAIR press conference is ridiculous. No one speaking, save the brother-in-law, looks anything close to upset. That they are speaking at all pretty much clinches it that Islam is involved in some way.

I think a lot likely hinges on what they label this as and they want to make damn sure they have it right. I am also assuming that with such a high profile case, they want to be sure they follow all the rules exactly like they are supposed to, to keep from screwing up a court case so bad that the suspect walks free on a technicality.

well they dont currently have any suspects that are alive.

The name they pulled back was actually posted in this very thread earlier in the afternoon and was pointed out that it's actually the Turkish President's name.

Now FNC has state that the second name is NOT from the police, and could, in fact, be a hoax. Wish they'd make up their minds already!

The first name, they confirm as a suspect.
