Free yoga class shut down because yoga is now offensive

I don't practice yoga at all, but I find the argument pretty pathetic, even if the other party thinks their point is a rite. It my rite to believe it that way eh?

One day someone or something will come to end something you do care about. They will make the attempt under the guise of that activity being non-inclusive. When it happens, hopefully you'll be able to find enough people that do care to successfully do something about it.

I think something else is goin g on at that campus, don't know what. But banning this class because it's offensive re the original culture is....weird. It doesn't matter if the yoga has been westernized, it benefits people!

The thing is, many Indians teach such classes, and yoga in the West actually got going because several prominent yogis from India were sent by their masters to the West to do exactly that!

No one owns Yoga. That's like saying you have a copyright on prayer. That no one can pray without your permission.

It's a type of exercise and state of being. NO COPYRIGHT.

If the world has culture to share...we should, and if everyone already knows the origin of the culture, what's the harm?

Here's another one that blew my mind. the PC police have release a guide on how to eat without culturally appropriating your food.

Can't just enjoy the food of other cultures anymore, now you have to feel guilt ridden about it. The parts of culture that were once the most effective bridges, are now a reason to self-flagellate.
