Bah whats with all the nonsense cluttering up the life beyond death thread?

If you dont believe in an after life no one is making you post on this thread. . . . .

Heres a little movie knowledge on the after life from a great movie that I think sums it up in a nutshell "What dreams may come!"

Quantum Physics is an illusion and is not a true theory that will stand the test of time.
If death is an illusion then life is an illusion as well. The question remains, what is the reality.
Every thesis has it's counter thesis. Illusion can be produced by reality but reality cannot be produced by illusion.
Random thoughts.

Exactly! great questions you propose there, and are worth great consideration and study in my opinion. But not in a scientific way, but spiritual. Well that is the context I mean anyway. But each has his own approach with what you are comfortable with.

What is truly real, when death is an illusion, what is then life? What are then dreams? What difference is between the dream and life, except the duration, between waking and dreaming state?
Who am I in a dream and during OBE, what is my real self?

Me: Honey... Where is the cat?

My wife: It's dead...And it's at the back door.

Me: OMG! (rushing to the back door)

Me: I don't see it.

My Wife: It's not there, but let it in anyway.

Random thoughts.

Good illustration how we shouldn't believe anything we think!
Such "random thoughts" would find small support either scientifically, where quantum is being validated and used all the time.
It makes up over 1/4 US technology.
ALL predictions have manifested...
But, 'random thoughts' and a buck will still buy you a cup of coffee.
Now, if those 'thoughts' were supportable with evidence and logic and experience, that might well be worth that cup of coffee!
That's one of my random thoughts!

I addressed the problem earlier, and why you ask an expert of opinion, if you cant explain it in a simple line. You dont understand it. You fill int the gaps with your own fantasies to make it understandable to you, the same way religious ideals comes to birth. And the rest well it becomes shi*.

You just posted, yet said nothing, offered nothing, refuted nothing.
You won't mind if i just ignore it?

Your inability to think for yourself explains your dependence on 'authorities' (a logical fallacy)!

Well I kinda think we are taking one thing and making it into a bunch of other things, like the big bang or periodic table of elements are all really the same things made into countless other things. So in the same way we have counsiousness making all of reality when in fact its just counsiousness. Both life and death are different forms or states of counsiousness.
Different worlds vibrating at different frequencies likened to heaven and earth are still the same divine infinate stuff, we may simply view it differently.

This is why I believe the famous phrase that the kingdom of heaven is within, I truly think heaven is within the atoms of creation. . . . So is everything else! Its all just an elaborate illusion!

Quantum mechanics is a common tool used by some theorists because it can't fully be explained.

Quantum superposition, quantum entanglement, the nature of consciousness-these questions have boggled the greatest minds in history. I severely doubt that this one individual has the answer.

If there was an answer, it may lie in the uncharted regions such as M-theory.

Sir Oliver Lodge was a physicist in the late 1800's to early 1900's who wrote many books on his theories about the nature of reality and the fact that death is not real.

This has been known for a long time. Didn't the Christ say to conquer death you only have to die?

Great thread, I would like to introduce a brilliant video on Life after Death by a Doctor who worked in the field.
I hope you enjoy, this video put a lot of loose ends together in my enlightenment.
Enjoy

Thanks for posting that video.
This interview, if not the best I have ever seen, is super important in the transition that is taking place with science and spirituality. You do not have to believe any of it, however, when scientific research starts to quantify and correlate that which we have always held totally in mysticism and spiritualism, it cannot be ignored, as our entire way of life has been has already been irrevocably changed by what science has provided.

For good and for bad, as we choose how to apply it.

I think when delves into the idea of time being an illusion and the possibility of parallel universes with quantum physics it naturally points to "consciousness" being separate from the human body.

I envision the universe as a giant computer. When I die my code (or program) continues to survive on the hard drive of the universe and can be, accessed, or changed at anytime. Maybe that's just the gamer in me. It would be interesting if we could live our lives over again and make different choices.

Yup, did you also have an "ah ha!" feeling/sense that you'd been there before, or a feeling that it was "home" or someplace that everything comes from, and goes back to?

ETA: You don't have to "die" to go there; Eastern philosophies and meditation techniques have allowed advanced practitioners to achieve the exact state you described. I think since it always (and always has/will) exist -- it's possible to tweak the "frequency" our consciousness operates on to get there. I think in physical death, it becomes a forced thing -- but it can be willed through mental discipline as well.

I can't say I had been there before, but I was completely comfortable with no feelings that I would associate with a physical body. I felt that, weird as it is, it was pure love type of feeling. My analogy of being connected to the 'All' gave me the feeling everything was intertwined by energy fields from what seemed like a universal consciousness. I felt like everything was connected and that would be like everything came from this energy or consciousness. I keep saying consciousness because of the overwhelming amount of data that was also being dumped into my mind or consciousness besides being 'aware' and connected to everything in the universe. And the fact I went there when my physical body ceased function, I had to say I was going back somewhere. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your views the medical personnel brought me back to our current reality. Hope this answers your question. It is hard to put into words what I went through and this is as close to an analogy as I have been able to come up with over the years.

Wow, thanks for that explanation!

For me, I had a feeling of recognition, that I wasn't in a foreign place that I had never been before.

I felt connected to everything as well -- but it was more. I sensed that everything that has, will, and is going on all was connected in that one place ... time did not exist, and all possibilities were there.

Yea, I can agree with that feeling. I was more in awe and having a lot of thoughts while being overwhelmed with the amount of information coming in. I would have liked to continue with the experience to see where it wound up.

This is sort of on/off topic, but when I was a small child I was very psychic or telepathic is a better term. I would answer to things my parents were thinking. I also had tens if not hundreds of dreams of being in front of a group of what I call elders on what I could only say today was like a space craft. They all had white robes and long white or grey hair. I was always in the middle like between an arrow shaped table and they were saying a lot that I have no clue about because I was looking at the technology and maps on the wall. Being that I was a child, I don't know what those experiences were or how I was able to tell what was inside buildings I had never been in and described the people in there. My parents told me of this stuff when I got older. I only mention it because I somehow must have accessed information outside myself to do these things. After I died and had the experiences I began to realize that I must have been somehow accessing the energy or consciousness as a child that I experienced as an adult. It would make sense. Could these elders have been some sort of pre-insertion committee or what?

I have no idea, but I also feel like we are born with the ability and that life in our physical body diminishes that ability. I say that as sound, vision, feel, taste, etc, quickly overwhelms our 6th sense and the stronger and more we are exposed to it the weaker our 6th sense gets. One thing that I believe is that the reason I am alive today is I always had a feeling several seconds to two minutes before I was involved in any firefight in my old job. For some reason I knew someone was about to pull out a gun. I read a thread here recently about our consciousness and the minds ability to predetermine a response before we conscientiously think about the decision. Perhaps we can have much more time to do so and that would require our body somehow accessing information outside out normal idea of senses.
