A message to Ycon and web censor industry...

I know that this should be post in a U2U, but I need to have some other persons opinion and knowledge...

So, I'm once again blocked by websense when I want to go to the ycon holy conspiracy website (Blocked category : sex )... I never saw any sexual material on her site, even in the posts. So, I have some question :

How websense filters works ? Who decide of the banned sites and the categories ? How can they react so fast ? The site is on only since a few days and there is somewhere on the web a censor comission that decide of what you can see or not ?!

Enlight me !

There is nothing sex related on her site. I do not know where you got that idea from. You can still go on her site. Just use a proxy and the site wont be blocked.

There's no policy against creating posts about Ycon's site, or Ycon for that matter. The only "policy" in place is a request not to discuss the primary subject of her site ( bR-iAn ) unless he would come here and participate in the discussion. Otherwise, Ycon unfairly becomes a punching bag for everyone anxious to rip into the topic... and no other person enjoys the safety of post-by-proxy on this site.

And anyway, we're generally for promoting the online efforts of members.

Nans, the only thing I can think of that they may be blocking my site for is a page I did of Bush as a bi-sexual.

Ycon, I can type bi-sexual in a search engine and go to even go on a porn web site and websense would ever block me... These kind of system using keyword are not so reliable :p ... But it's sure that for a more reliable blocking system, there must be some technicians who have insert your website in an "adult" database.

Why ? Somebody wants to make brian (sorry ) shut up ? Or may be you have referenced your site with a adult rate?

Maybe I paranoid (on the web, paranoia is a must...) I'm sure that the reason of this censor is not the word bi-sexual, but the word conspiracy...

Nans I really don't think it is the word conspiracy. You can get into ATS, the word conspiracy is all over the site.

well, being relatively new to the forum, and not really having alot of background on this whole matter, i decided to lurk through the depths of y-con's site, and.. uhh... i've decided it is nothing but complete lunacy. does anyone remember DAVID KARESH?!?!?!?!
