Investigation Reveals Dogs Burned by Sun, Not Acid

They found who did it, and they're connected. A cop, a judge, a FOP leader, maybe a politico.

Therefore, it didn't happen. Retcon the thing. Case closed.

Does anyone know if the fur around the wounds was singed?

I'd have said that was the result of a lighter fluid or petrol(gas)burn.

If not acid there is only one way for dogs to get burned like that and that would be the dogs were tied up or caged in the sun with no shade.
That would leave owners open to a charge of animal cruelty.

I live in the Calif desert and in 64 years never seen a dog sunburned like that.

It is possible that they are claiming this because they think the [potential] perp knows they are onto him.
If the perp can rest assured that they are not investigating, he/she is more likely to act again.

Perhaps they are watching the area closely and are anticipating another attack now that they think the perp thinks they aren't watching.

Counterfeit flea med from china that makes the dogs very sensitive to burning???

Don't let emotions cloud you people not everyone is evil.

Not everyone is evil, but it only takes one or two evil people to do this.

Not buying the sunburn story myself, if anything the sunburn story from the cops make me think the real perpetrator was someone with connections.
