So expanding Medicaid is going to help the moochers? Do you know what Medicaid is actually used for? You bring up all these examples of supposedly free stuff the government gives, and try to make the comparison that people on Medicaid want to mooch off the system to also get those things. This is healthcare for the people unable to afford it. People don't get hurt or sick on purpose to mooch off the system...

Everyone is able to survive day to day with shelter, food, and other basic necessities. Or do you not see that as being a positive thing?

Is that what humanity aspires to?? Surviving day-to-day with a shelter and basic necessities?
Some of you guys really never paid attention in history class eh?
Full-blast socialism never elevates anyone, it only brings the rest down to the same miserable destitution they worked to hard to leave. Oh wait, yea it does elevate the corrupt, scheming backroom handshakers and politicians.
Socialism doesn't help people into the middle-class, it ELIMINATES the middle class, so therefore the poor then have nothing to strive for.
Seriously, before replying please read about and understand the rise and fall of the USSR. Or you could try the short version: North Korea

They do, that's the whole idea behind their no tax increase pledge, to force the government to spend only on what matters rather than on wasteful items.
