Well its not like us western powers have not lobbed a few Tomahawks at our enemy before. Hope they nailed a few of the terrorist bastard scum.

That being said i also hope the Russian missiles hit there targets with precision and not to much loss of civilian life.

Politicians are a strange brew...can't justify hating 'em for trying

Presuming one know's already that in order to liberate one man- another man's liberties must be sacrificed?

To stand and deliver a policy of peace and security to one man, he has to directly contradict his own policy to carry that out.

So many of us cower under the cloth of a protector...

So the question is: The US has been bombing IS targets for the past one year but why are they so pathetically ineffective?!

Because they don't want to destroy their own assets.

Why bother to train, arm, fund and generally facilitate their terrorism and then lose all that time and work by bombing them?

Why do you think the USA is so critical of the comparatively huge and extremely rapid Russian successes, when they are doing what the USA *claims* to have been doing with virtually *no* success in a year?

Assets mate.

Russian planes bomb ISIL targets for a fifth day.....

So the Russian state run media tells you that they were effective and therefore, you just KNOW they were somehow more effective than US airstrikes?

What were the targets? What was destroyed? Who was killed? Exactly what are you basing this opinion of yours on?

When I saw this I knew it was going to be RT as a source.

The Vodka drenched Russian Military is not targeting ISIS...they are targeting everyone...and straight-up...they don't mind if they take out some of Assads forces while they are at it "by accident"..

They want to own Syria and Assad is their ragdoll puppet. They will drop bombs on everyone and then invade and occupy for "Syria's own good"..

A useful distraction for the deep dark hole the Russian economy has fallen into.

Putin's only solution is re-inventing the empire.

This is some serious Russian propaganda..

Need to send some video feeds of missiles launched from ships and BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS about how great the RUSSIAN BEAR IS...

Putin, needs the people behind him and support him for what is coming next indeed...

Your a fool to trust ex KGB, whoever is doing that right now.. LOL

At least I am old enough to know that...

I don't think most of the world is gonna see what is about to happen next... It is not what you think... If you think Putin, is a hero ...

Well yes, a lot of it.

Russia have now moved into take advantage of it.

I would not call it that. They simply defend their best interests. Actually, they are more or less our allies now, like they were in WW iI. The only difference is that they like Assad where the US does not.

There is NOTHING short of starting WW3 we can do about it now.

Of course we can. We can sit back, relax and watch the show. We aren't there, after all. We are HERE, sitting in our comfortable homes, typing away in a browser. Armchair wisdom.

We got caught out playing "game of terrorists". The USA, Allies and NATO have suffered a huge political defeat .

I can't for the life of me figure that one out. The Russians seem to help us, so how can you say we suffered a defeat? Remember: they did not just jump in out of the blue, they had a lot of behind the screen talks with the Americans before getting involved. All that yelling and yapping of the NATO is more or less roleplay - NATO is actually pleased, I guess, as the Russians are now participating too. Spread the costs and risks. More arms aimed at IS. Where is the defeat? And really - worldwar III? Apart from the question if we will have that - we sure should not initiate it!

All we can do now is cut our loses in Syria and prepare for Russia next move as Syria not worth starting WW3 over.

Sigh. The Russians have only struck a couple of targets. The US and allies have been there much longer and have done much more. You're all wound up, methinks, about nothing.

Also, please remember: the UK is not and has not been "under attack". Their Toyotas may be swell cars but they won't take them to the UK.

They are trying hard to keep from killing civilians as that is where ISIS likes to hide.

Isn't that what is happening in Yemen...not really going well by the looks of things.

That would be a good idea, but it also could make things worse.

Well we all know how well the US fixed Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.

We all know how well the Americans are doing at home in their police states. If this is what you Call good than i understand why you complain about Russia.

There'll be time enough to answer that when the Russians actually accomplish anything with their sabre-rattling.

They won't, you know.

who is you all? When did I say good? LOL I did not compare Russia to the USA...

LOL more people are dying to live in the USA on this planet then any other country on this Planet...

We must be doing ok..

If you do not like how we handled Iraq, blame Al-Qæda, they took credit for killing thousands of Americans, and well we went ape $hit..

We were not going into Iraq, wanting to FIX it we went in there to kick ass..

I do not remember the USA fixing Libya either, that was the EU NATO I suppose perhaps...

Correct, jihadis are jihadis. They are like wasps: throw something at their nest and they will swarming after you. That's,why I have said that air strikes against them, both by NATO and Russia, are an unbelievably bad idea. Now Russia will have just as little cred in the Muslim world as the US.
