Now Isis has blown up the triumph arch in Palmyra...

I can't help thinking there is another agenda with the whole Isis thing.
This is not a religious monument, it's just history.

Can't help thinking they are instructed to do so. Someone is paying or convincing those idiots to do so.

First we get the golf wars where countless ancient treasures were stolen or destroyed.. now we get these "rebels" who blow up the remains of the ancient world.
Is there something that needs to be destroyed and out of sight?
Or are they just trying to piss everyone off, so we are more willing to bomb them ?

It doesn't make sense.

Heres a link , i read this earlier .

Perhaps they should put a little more effort into staying alive as evidenced by quite a few threads here .

They are so insanely stupid that they think that anything pre Islam is heresy - religious artifact or not.

So they take great delight in destroying heritage that not only belongs to the people of the nation, but the citizens of the world. They also have a penchant for selling off anything they can for cash.

They're black ops and mercenaries.

They wouldn't be destroying anything if it wasn't on their payroll.

Seems like a Winsor/Rothschild/Saudi and Israel thing, to destroy the past, and history and try to depopulate and then rewrite it for a new slave era. Reset button kind of thing.

Too many now are awake.

They're mercenaries, cold ruthless primitive beast like killers, who recruit and rope in youths who idealize their culture, then are horrified at what it all entails.

They're merc's. The farthest thing from true religious beliefs of any kind. I see them as little mini McCains, and the evil elected by people who are really out to lunch, who's brains are misfiring or they'd be hiring their own preschool teachers and best friends as politicians and get rid of all the evil asshats at the top. I see an army of McCains, and others like him, Rockerfellers, this is their thing. This horrific buturing is what satanists do all the time.

they need to leave enough of a trail behind so when they execute the "totally unexpected"attack on american soil, everyone will have by then identified them as the bad guys, and justify any new decade long war the powers that be will throw the country into.
so once again we will hear about "brave soldiers fighting for our freedom"
and in the background, some more liberties will be taken away, all in the name of a world free from the chaos and confusion caused by terrorists, a new world order, you could call it.

IS are committed to their cause. They give up their children, their families, their jobs and their friends for it. They travel to faraway places they have never seen for it, expecting never to return. They suffer massive, constant losses (which is why they have to keep recruiting) for it. And for it they live and work, voluntarily, under harsh, dangerous conditions.

To believe that they're just in it for the money is simultaneously naive and cynical, but most of all it is absurd.

I did not claim it was just for the money. I wondered if there is an alternative agenda, that's something else.

Besides, somehow i think the front-line fighters, are not the same ones who go about blowing heritage up, after the sites have been concurred.

I think special demolition teams are sent in to get world attention and carry out an alternative agenda.

( Never waste a good crisis )

You are entitled to your conspiracy theory. My post was not directed solely, or even mainly, at you.

Yet the fact remains that the members of IS show a dedication to their cause that secular agents can only dream of.

This was being discussed on Sky News this morning. It was pointed out if they wanted to get rid of all this heritage why hadn't they just blown the lot up in one go. This has no religious meaning but at the moment they are starting to look weak and by blowing these architects up one at a time it keeps them in the limelight which is what they desire. Shock and awe!

IS and the idiots that follow them deserve nothing more than a swift death they dont represent islam

So much hate for our pagan past! These brainless animals are like dark-age religious fanatics.
They are doing exactly what the christians did back in the day when they were superstitious dark-age religious lunatics,
and tried to erase our pagan past by destroying everything related, books, temples, statues, philosophy, science etc.

It's very hard to find something worse than what these 3 judeomonotheistic religions have done to humanity.
Although today 2 of them are going with the times, these bastards are still in the dark-ages

This religious sin-based fanaticism is like a virus making naive mindless people into dogmatic zombies.

We should bomb mecca and their stupid mosques in front of their eyes and then kill these f@#&ing #heads their own way.

You mistake fanaticism for dedication.

Can you explain the difference?

Your posts have are disturbingly sympathetic tone to them!

You mistake understanding for sympathy. It is a dangerous mistake to make. Know your enemy.

they dont represent a country

No, they call it a caliphate.

This has no religious meaning

The arch was erected in honour of Septimus Severius, a Roman Emperor. The Emperor of Rome was formally a god, and ceremonially worshipped as one. This was the issue over which so many Christians were martyred. I am sure the religious authorities of IS are well aware of the significance of the arch.

It seems rather ignorant to assume IS is doing this for money. A lot of people on this website are insular-minded and don't know much about the world. They sit here having panic attacks over an enemy they'll never see, and one which will likely never threaten them. Such a strange thing.

Don't fit reality to the conspiracy theory, fit the conspiracy to reality. So many people are so desperate to lay the blame for IS at the foot of "The West" or the NWO, seemingly because they can't fathom what actual zealotry is. It's beyond their insular understanding.

They would do the same thing to the Sphinx if they were able too.. what are Antiquities scholars saying about this, and how can this behavior be stopped?

If the disrespect becomes too uncontrolled, I do hope the Russians will be willing to intervene, specifically at sites of priceless heritage..

those are the people that for their own personal belief systems wanted to destroy the entire area not a trace or evidence of ever existing there, its also a military training exercise so could spread to other countries like common virus spreads and kills its victims, only this time its sponsored (paid for ) by foreign terrorists
