No, because officially Saudi Arabia is not only not supporting Daesh, they are even making token arrests of Daesh operatives in the peninsula. The clerics are declaring jihad because Russia is bombing non-terrorist Sunni groups that Saudi Arabia is officially supporting.

Islamic State (IS),[30] or Daesh (داعش, Arabic pronunciation: [ˈdaːʕiʃ]),[31] is a Salafi jihadist extremist militant group and self-proclaimed Islamic state and caliphate, which is led by and mainly composed of Sunni Arabs

en.wikipedia.org...

So they didn't say anything when the US was supposedly taking on ISIS, which is composed of Sunni's.

Btw, you said this 2 pages back,

No countries are "sending in" terrorists. Saudi Arabia is supporting them financially, but terrorists are coming on their own. They are on a spiritual path, as you should know.

It must be hard to keep track of everything you are spewing.

No, but you seem unable to understand why it is inappropriate to respond to a post about civilian casualties with what you seem to think is a funny remark. Tell many dead baby jokes?

I didn't respond to a post about actual civilian casualties. The comment was about avoiding civilian casualties, something that you claimed was holding America back. I think that comment itself is way more obnoxious than me pointing out the irony.

I know it gets very confusing for you when someone does not follow a script. Officially, Saudi Arabia is opposed to Daesh. There are factions that support it covertly. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and some other Muslim countries openly support some (but not all) of the rebels opposed to Assad. The United States had to be very careful to attack only Daesh, while incurring the minimum of civilian casualties. Not because they're nice, but because in this delicate situation collateral damage could motivate the locals to side with Daesh. So long as the attacks were limited to a group that Saudi Arabia officially condemns, Saudi Arabia had no problem. Putin, however, is attacking groups that Saudi Arabia officially supports. Are you starting to understand now?

But, Saudi Arabia is sponsoring terrorists you said.

Are they sponsoring "good" terrorists, that America didn't attack, but the Russians are attacking now?

No wonder the US government is calling for Russia to cease fire. They are upset that the Russians are taking out their puppets.

I enjoy hearing the Saudi, Qatari, and US Executive Branch squeal like pigs. They have bigger problems on their plate when the Russians are getting the job done and the US Americans are bombing hospitals in Afghanistan.

More power to the Russians. I hope they occupy Syria and Iraq and evict all the Sunnis to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

I don't imagine NATO going to war over protecting Erdogan and Turkey with his plans to kill all the Kurds and establish a renewed Ottoman Caliphate. In fact, it is hard to imagine NATO doing anything that requires skill, talent, or conviction while Obama is President and Madame Merkel is in charge of Europe.

THE BIG STORY is that if Russia plays this right it will completely screw up Obama's plan on petroleum prices going into the U.S. federal election, and higher oil and petrol prices worldwide will make life in Mother Russia much, much better.

In other words, you want Russia to kick Assad out and annex Syria.

Well played Russia, well played. But but.. Now they moved to Europe. Just all happened to quick for me eyes this is a chess game. Whoever is responsible for ISIS must of engineered the refugee movement also. Russia checkmated this "entity" so it moved where it couldn't be exterminated quickly. What is Russia's next move.. Hmm guess we have to wait and see but I don't think the "entity" was counting on Russia to intervene. Why do I suddenly respect Putin? Well played!

Edit: I do not think at all the USA has connections to ISIS like many of you say, that's total bull#! But they are to wealthy all of a sudden not to be funded by s governent entity. It's all in the ME, just saying.

Like fuel air explosives or other thermobarics? Again the collateral damage and loss of civilian life is simply not acceptable from a humanitarian standpoint.

So it looks like Russia is moving towards a ground war as well to reinforce the Syrian government.
We can see ISIL is loosing ground. ISIL is loosing for now we will see if things will continue to get worse for them. They lost access to one of thier underground tunnels on monday and retreated from battle again loosing over a hundred fighters. Considering they have near a hundred thousand its just a drop in the bucket, however every great journey begins with a single step.

www.liveleak.com...

On Monday morning, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched a full-scale assault on the provincial capital of the Deir Ezzor Governorate, attacking the Syrian Armed Forces’ frontline defenses at the Military Airport; the Al-Sina’a, Al-Haweeqa, and Al-‘Amal Districts; and the village of Al-Muri’iyah.

Unfortunately for the terrorist group, they were severely outmatched by the soldiers from the 137th Artillery Brigade of the 17th Reserve Division and the 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard.

Upon their initial assault at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, ISIS sent two waves of fighters towards the contested army base (southern perimeter of the airport); however, the charging terrorists were overwhelmed by the fierce resistance from the Syrian Arab Army and the relentless aerial assault by the Russian Air Force.

If you were a Russian, would you want to die for the Syrian government? Remember the war in Viet Nam and the USSR in Afghanistan?

We can see ISIL is loosing ground.

Where are you that you can see what's going on?

How do you know all this? Because you believe propaganda without using critical thinking. Remember the Chinese troop ship? Whatever happened to that. Let me walk you through this little battlefield fantasy. First of all, they give nice round numbers of enemy casualties, but apparently, not a single good guy got hurt. Really? And, the enemy was consistently referred to as "terrorists," even though they were fighting regular army. If you are engaging uniformed troops on a battlefield, you are a soldier not a terrorist. The narrator also refers to a counter-attack as "foolish." Does that sound like objective reporting to you? Also, how effective was the Russian air support if Daesh troops were able to organize a counter-attack?

Yes, slaughtering people is a great journey. Enjoy your death porn.

If you pay attention to what kind of targets the Russians have been bombing, it would not be unlikely that Daesh would be able to asseble a counter attack.

That is by far bad in any way from a military strategic point of view. Its become a lot easier to track Daesh when they come out into the open like they just did. They also had to flee to safety after.... but how safe do you think they are after exposing them selves the way they just did?

With all the Russian drones flying i bet Russia are onto them now... all of them who were involved in the attack.

Russia, Syira and Iran are planning a ground operation soon. Nothing could be more valuable to them than Deash exposing themselves like this. This saves Russian intelligence a lot of time in dedicating Resources to flush them out into the open.

Daesh controls any territory that is not actively patrolled by government troops. So long as the troops stay in their bases, Daesh controls the surrounding countryside. If they attack a base, it is to draw the troops out. Note that although Daesh rushed the base and took casualties, the government did not try a sorti. The battle was a tie: the government keeps their airport and Daesh still controls the town. Given the biased reporting, it is probably safe to assume the numbers reported are exaggerated. The death toll was probably something like 50 jihadi to 5 loyalists.

I always liked the idea of the USA, Russia and China getting together and televising a huge meeting to the world (and especially to the Middle East) while we negotiate who gets what portions of their lands after we mutually flatten it. Put the negotiations on TV, 24 hours a day for everyone there to watch as we debate and negotiate carving up their countries and distributing rights to the land, oil, etc.

No...I wouldn't actually want it to happen, but it would be fun to watching their worried faces. Maybe then the "moderates" would do something about the extremists instead of offering lip service.

You have no Clue about what Daesh have just done do you... you dont see it at all.

There is a reason why Syrian forces are not out fighting daesh at this point. They will be after the bombs have been dropped on daesh hideouts. Russia know exactly what targets to hit now just because daesh did this foolish thing.
