Trouble is, the one's who have raided that cookie jar the most are the one's who are supposed to be guarding that jar...

You sir ,most definitely earned your 3 Million stars.

That is the one issue that we truly have while everything else are just its symptoms. Yet it is never discussed in these events.

1. Fiorina
2. Carson
3. Rubio

Trump won't take damage, Walker/Cruz/Christie didn't do any damage

Huck has core of evangelicals that won't care.

9. Kasich - struggling for relevance. He seems to be the GOP establishment's backup Bush.
10. Paul - acts too much like a wounded puppy
11. Bush - but he has enough cash to not care

You're right. I look at in terms of the smart people who know what the Hell is going on, as being easily overshadowed by nonsense because the majority of voters are now complete morons! That IS the case which we have seen since the 80''s at least. The majority are sold on glamour and rhetoric, not just by Trump but whatever the media says they should be sold on.

CNN, nor any other mainstream media "outlet" should never be allowed to host these debates again. Why in the world is it ok for them to ask questions to candidates about their opinion of other candidates? It's madness! What happened to straight up questions about the ISSUES that vex this nation? It's all about personal attacks, and who looks cooler on screen these days, and that's wrong, SO wrong.

Thats why so many hard core establishment Repubs , NOT CONSERVATIVES dont LIKE about a strict constitutionalism.......

because sometimes that means you DONT agree with things that happen.......

I think thats what makes us beautiful

Being Free, being constitutionalist Republic, means sometimes we dont get along.....and thats ok........

We dont have to agree, but were free to do it!

From body language and facial expressions, it looks like Kasich and Paul are in trouble financially. Not enough donors. I expect that they'll drop out soon. Who else won't be on stage for the next debate?

Rubio ? who said you can't fix this with intellect, lol . Seriously the guy has a voting record that doesn't match his words. Heck he even answered that he chose to not vote and quit and run for president.

He sided with Big lobbyist and went against republican ideals like state rights. He sided with big government to not allow states to decided for themselves if they want to label GMO products.

Ya when he went after Paul right away I was like come on man.

I do too, also wish they didn't end it with that "How will the US look after you leave office".
Was to much of a pander question to me. Kinda a soft ball for them to go out on.

If Huck,Christie and Cruz really out last Paul I will be bummed.
At least Paul sticks to his small gov views.

The highlight of the whole debate:
Rand Paul Fighting for Marijuana and Drug Policy

Rand mentions how marijuana should be protected in Washington State, Colordao, etc.
Calls out Bush for Floridians going to jail for medical marijuana. Rand says to Bush, his actions: "means you'll put people in jail".
As well as Christine for his negative plans on legalization in states.

OK, I'll assume you know what you're talking about. Rand Paul should stop looking mad and flustered all the time. Many of his ideas are sound. He's still young enough to run in the next 4 or 5 election cycles, if he wants to.

IMO, Our diversity of opinions and acceptance of such allows US to maintain an acceptable balance, which can make decisions long in the making, but well thought out once they are made...

Lately, and I trace that back to 9/11, our gov't has foregone the long debate, well thought out decision process, in favor of "politics of the day" moves that are dangerous to what made us strong...

We need a leader, and Congress, that TALKS TO EACH OTHER, debates their differences, find common ground, it's not about ONE party, it's about America... diverse America... not a divided America.

As long as most of these candidates keeps blaming all the problems on Obama, I can't see them as leadership material. I am not saying the current group hasn't created problems but the previous admin and Congress created a giant mess.

It's same crap, different day mode as usual. Not admitting their party's part in the situation shows they can't even start to fix this place. I am pretty sure the popular kids are not the ones who would be able to start the country down the correct path.

This was an awful debate. Tapper provoked the equivalent of a high school cafeteria food fight and no really important issues were addressed.

Hello? Economy? I guess the left doesn't care about it at all or something. Either that or if we talk about it we have to acknowledge that it is an issue with a lot of people and that it has not been all sunshine and rainbows for the past seven years despite the media narrative.

But hey! I guess we got asked about all the social non-issues ... so there is that. But IMO it's like talking with your daughter about whether or not she can dye her hair and pierce her belly button while the house burns down around you both.

In any case, it was a complete disgrace of a debate and CNN ought to be ashamed.

IMO, Fiorina, Rubio and Cruz probably came out the best. Carson didn't hurt himself, but he didn't help himself either. Trump may have overstepped his bounds a bit in some of his dogfights with Bush. I am thinking of one moment which more or less amounted to a "Did not" "Did to" exchange between them that looked really bad for both.

Paul I like, but he's done. He should bow out and try again later on. This is not his time.

Walker also didn't hurt himself, but likely won't pick up much. He just tends to fade on stage. He did look sharper than at the first debate though.

Kasich, Jeb, and Christie are all establishment candidates. Kasich seems to be the guy the establishment offered up as the fall back plan if Jeb the anointed failed. If you listen, they sound the same on more or less everything.

And if that was Jeb with both barrels ... *yawn.*

Do not agree on this point........hes not far right enough for the CONSERVATIVE party

Im pretty sure hed be too far right for the Republican party at this point.......

And this is totally excluding the religious aspect........just my 2 cents bud

On policy Reagan is to the left of Obama.

He negotiated with Iran.
Negotiated with terrorists.
Increased taxes 10 times, including the largest tax increase in American history.
Was a huge supporter of gun control.
Significantly rose the debt, despite the tax increases.
Negotiated with the USSR
Increased the number of abortions in California by 20 fold by making them easier to get
Gave amnesty to illegals
Was pro homosexual rights
Wanted to completely dismantle the US nuclear arsenal
Was very anti Israel, at one point Reagan refused to visit a concentration camp and instead laid a wreath on the graves of Nazi soldiers.

Reagan supported the 7 day waiting period in the Brady Bill on guns, and gave amnesty to 2.7 million illegal immigrants. Federal employment grew by 60,000 people under Reagan, and the national debt went from $700 billion to $3 trillion. In 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1986 he raised taxes.

The irony of Reagan is that the largest free standing building in DC is a government office building bearing his name. Hows that for small government?

I tried to watch the debate but couldn't get through more than an hour, the format was awful and the whole thing felt like the voting portion of a reality show where people attack each other in order to set someone up to be voted out.

Of the parts I did watch I thought Fiorina and Kasich were fantastic as they both gave details for how they would accomplish things rather than empty rhetoric. Paul was good too but clearly didn't get enough time.

I detested the reality show like split screen format, if the other debates are like that I definitely won't be watching, I'll just read the summaries from others.

Also, like Ketsuko mentioned above with the did not/did too exchange with Bush/Trump, in my opinion that will sink them both unless Bush can release proof that Trump actually tried to get some casinos in the state and that he attempted to bribe officials to do so.
