Myths you say?

The heliocentric system was derided by some religious folk, It turned out to be true.

Evolution was also derided by those of faith despite the discovery of Quetzalcoatlus, Diprotodon and other megafauna as well. Did god conveniently place those bones so that non believers would stumble upon them via pure happenstance?

In my post I made it clear to "(Watch video to get the details)".

So as expected, you are unable to answer my simple questions!

It is quite possible. According to the Bible, God created many creatures and eventually wiped them out with the great flood. The dates of these events are not accurate considering the flood is mentioned in the Sumerian Tablets. So, the King James version of the Bible is inaccurate. None of the dates are accurate in the King James Version.

Yes it is! If you don't provide a summary of the contents and relevance of the video, you are in violation of T&C!

Get ready to vacate your brain with the awesome power of this stupidity.

Then explain how the Permian extinction is linked to the great flood. Explain how The KT extinction is linked to the great flood. Explain how sea shells are found on mountains. The world changes in time.

Well, it's typical that the only responses I get are ridicule and insults. I provided everything you need for this discussion. I was only allowed to post a part of the discussion and tried to post more, but for some reason only a part of what I posted was up when I posted the thread. The video explains the debate in detail. It's a long lecture and if you don't have the time or patience to hear it out then don't bother commenting.

The Bible tells us that God created all of the land animals on the sixth day of creation. As dinosaurs were land animals, they must have been made on this day, alongside Adam and Eve, who were also created on Day Six (Genesis 1:24–31)

If you remove the evolutionary framework, get rid of the millions of years, and then take the Bible seriously, you will find an explanation that fits the facts and makes perfect sense:

At the time of the Flood, many of the sea creatures died, but some survived. In addition, all of the land creatures outside the Ark died, but the representatives of all the kinds that survived on the Ark lived in the new world after the Flood. Those land animals (including dinosaurs) found the new world to be much different than the one before the Flood. Due to (1) competition for food that was no longer in abundance, (2) other catastrophes, (3) man killing for food (and perhaps for fun), and (4) the destruction of habitats, etc., many species of animals eventually died out. The group of animals we now call dinosaurs just happened to die out too. In fact, quite a number of animals become extinct each year. Extinction seems to be the rule in Earth history.

Well your perfect sense is debatable.

How were the Himalayas formed? the subcontinent we now know as India pushed and shoved. Half a billion years ago or more prior there was no such thing as the Himalayas, hence the reason why look to mountains for evidence of primitive life.

So when did this flood happen? How many animals were on this boat? Chuck, is this you?

The flood could have happened thousands or even a million years ago. We might know in time as we continue to discover new things.

@Cake: According to the Bible, God created everything. We can either believe the universe is divine and infinite or we can choose to believe God exist and created all. If there was no God, we would have to figure out how the singularity came about and what created it. One would have to assume that in physics, it is possible to create something out of nothing. Is that not just as improbable?

No insult was intended for the OP, I did not see any valid argument and was simply pointing out the lunacy of the good doctor Chuck.

See for yourself, here's Chuck in The Encyclopedia of American loons.

Basically the argument is that since life does not evolve spontaneously in sealed jars of peanut butter, it follows that evolution is wrong, and therefore Jesus.
The value of the argument is probably that it is wrong on so many levels that it is almost impossible to pry them apart.

Nope..
Citation please.

The evidence for old earth is evident and everywhere, please provide citations for your flood assumptions.

You didn't even watch the lecture. That's like demanding your professor to give you the answers without listening to the class lecture. You haven't specified anything that Missler lectured on to question me about. Get back to me when you've finished listening.

But why does there need to be a God? Watching his videos he explains that we do not know everything, ok agreed. I would rather see him debate a person of equal who might say whether his spin on things is accurate, but I'm not learned enough to disagree or agree.

The one difference I see is science is constantly changing as new discoveries come forward and in his court the is just one constant, God, no matter what. The part that gets me many times is someone explains something quite coherently and then says at some point "that is why God..." and I'm like WOW how did we go from not fully understanding something or not having something 100% correct yet to ................................................................................God that becomes this huge leap of nothing but faith to explain it all.

Some disagree with the "big bang" poke holes in it etc so the only other answer is intelligent design. This is no different that having a God for weather because one does not understand weather. It is a great generic_01 filler until science can one day figure it out, and if it turns out intelligent design then great, but right now it is 100% faith and lack of understanding filler.
