Common? If they are common why has no one caught one?.

I'm getting tired of copying and pasting the same links:

Madness it is thinking they are around today.

Innerpeace2012 is sane and his testimony indicates that there are multiple reported sightings of these creatures. Or should we just blindly believe your biased speculation?

Looks incredibly fake. For one, the wings are way too stiff. Second, the wings keep reverting to an upwards arch, like a U or a V (it should be straight or arching slightly down, like an umbrella). And third, there seems to be no movement at all from the lower half of its wings. This gives it the appearance of a radio controlled device, a kite w/moving "wings", or cgi that didn't add "joints" anywhere on the wings.

There are a lot of birds where I live, particularly large groups of vultures and smaller groups of crows. There are also blue jays, cardinals, an occasional hawk, and plenty of other common birds. I've even seen bats out here. But I've never seen something fly with it's wings curving upwards into a wide, upwards facing U shape. That not only doesn't seem like a natural flying motion, but it doesn't seem like it could even fly like that. As if it would lose the wind currents because of the U shape.

It's a really nice video, but alas I would agree that it's a fake.
Enlightenedservant pretty much covered everything I was going to say, so I'll just reiterate...

The wings are too stiff. The angle of the wings stays exactly the same the whole time - between flapping. The elevation stays exactly the same during the entire video. Even after the flip. If you consider aerodynamics, the "pterosaur" should have lost height during the "flip" - or whatever it was.

At face value I would say that it's something mechanical/man-made. But if you take aerodynamics into account, it may not be a physical thing. There are no clear indications that it's CGI - if it is, I'm pretty much impressed.

Also if we consider the War Games RC Pterodactyl was made in 1984 - which was pretty good, it wouldn't be a jump to think that there are better versions 30 years later...

I'm not reading thru all these post, maybe someone already pointed out but....the creature in question "glides" questionably still and the flaps are way to curved. Definitely does not seem like its being carried by air current. I am by NO means an expert though, just a simple layman.

They do make RC craft that look like Pelicans… I mean Pterodactyls, but this one looks too "animated".

As if you have seen a dinosaur fly in real life

There are several supposed photographs of Civil War soldiers, miners or cowboys alongside a variety of dinosaurs. They are fake and has their origin from a TV series and/or Photoshop and so on.
Example
Fake
There are dozens of sources that clearly show them as fake when you start digging.
Yes, some of those "old" photographs are still undecided, i.e. the original source is unknown and can't be proven 100% as fakes. Nor can it be proven that they are real.

It should be mentioned that some of the creatures in the "photographs" are not just a single species of Pterosauria but varieties such as Pterodactylus, Pteranodons and so on. Many of them shown in "photographs" not even anatomically correct. It would be one thing for a single species of Pterosauria to have survived. But to have several different giant flying creatures from the Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous Periods flying around - pretty much unnoticed would be quite a feet. Think about it... Look at the size of some of those creatures... Would they really go unnoticed? One or two Pterodactylus species I can believe (Pterodactyls aren't nearly as big as people think, because they tend to refer to any flying "dinosaur" as a Pterodactyl... And they aren't even considered dinosaurs to begin with). But several different species of Pterosauria including Pteranodon or even Quetzalcoatlus? Not likely.

If you want to prove that a species of Pterosauria aka the "Thunderbird" is still alive and well, show me different videos/photographs from different sources showing the exact same species of animal...

It was also mentioned earlier in the thread that Pterosaurs had feathers... They didn't have feathers. They had Pycnofibers which are closer to mammalian hair than feathers. Birds aren't descended from Pterosaurs, but from feathered dinosaurs or Deinonychosaurs.

Good post.
Also, pic #2 was debunked. If one looks at the lower legs of the hunters in the photo, they will see the legs of deer that were hanging from the many ropes in the original photo.

I want you guys to look at this video taken at Idaho and tell what you think of it? Is it a real pterodactyl or unfortunately just a well made cgi fake.

Did you really have to ask that?

It is a obvious fake, with very poor cgi.

how do you see its cgi pits because of the neck fli at 0:40 mark?

No, just watch it, it is obviously bad cgi.

What do you see indicating cgi? Seriously not a cgi person so what do you look for specifically in the video itself that says cgi? Also if it is looks like a good job to me? Again..untrained. what do you specifically see to I mhm dicate that it's bad, how would that differ if it was good cgi?

Sorry but what's going on in the OP video looks nothing like this, esp the rate the wings move... Very unnatural with the RC toy IMO.

You're entitled to your opinion however no, it isn't "obviously bad CGI" my friend, if anything - if this is CGI - it's bloody good by most standards and I've a degree in video editing and CGI mapping.

I'm not saying it's real, it most likely isn't (although could be) but to instantly dismiss it out of hand with the evidence that "it just is" - is slightly absurd. 😔

The only thing that seemed remotely unnatural to me was when its head dipped, like a ballon floating out of control. I can't seem to post pics from my phone!
