Western governments have long feared the possibility of Islamic State militants quietly slipping across their countries' borders. Now, amid the worst refugee crisis in decades, some are again sounding the alarm, as tens of thousands of refugees continue to enter Europe – raising concerns that extremists could be slipping in as well, CNN reported Monday.
Opportunistic smugglers have reportedly been helping small groups of ISIS fighters travel from southern Turkey into Europe for months, hidden in cargo ships filled with hundreds of refugees, according to an ISIS operative and several smugglers quoted by BuzzFeed in January. The ISIS operative claimed some 4,000 fighters were already waiting in Europe, intent on fulfilling ISIS's repeated threats to stage attacks around the globe. He said such attacks would be in retaliation for U.S.-led airstrikes against the group in Iraq and Syria.
“Just wait,” he told BuzzFeed earlier this year.
Hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing war in Syria have decided in recent months to make their way to Europe, where there is more economic opportunity than in Turkey -- more than a million Syrians have taken refuge in Turkey. Last week, a picture of Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi, whose body washed ashore on Turkey’s southern resort coast after drowning during a dangerous boat journey in an inflatable dinghy, raised awareness of the refugees' plight. The incident ignited international concern over the refugee crisis wrought by years of conflict in Syria. It is in that tide of desperate refugees that more ISIS fighters have been able to quietly slip into Europe, according to individuals quoted by BuzzFeed.

HAJDUKOVO, Serbia (AP) — A Pakistani identity card in the bushes, a Bangladeshi one in a cornfield. A torn Iraqi driver's license bearing the photo of a man with a Saddam-style mustache, another one with a scarfed woman displaying a shy smile.
Documents scattered only meters from Serbia's border with Hungary provide evidence that many of the migrants flooding Europe to escape war or poverty are scrapping their true nationalities and likely assuming new ones, just as they enter the European Union.
Many of those travelers believe that using a fake document — or having none at all — gives them a better of chance of receiving asylum in Germany and other western European states. That's because the surest route to asylum is to be a refugee from war and not an economic migrant fleeing poverty. That fact has led to a huge influx of people claiming to be Syrian.
Serbian border police say that 90 percent of those arriving from Macedonia, some 3,000 a day, claim they are Syrian, although they have no documents to prove it. The so-called Balkan corridor for the migrant flight starts in Turkey, then goes through Macedonia and Serbia before entering the European Union in Hungary.
Mr Galinos said there were currently about 15,000 refugees and migrants on his island, of whom 7,000-8,000 were already registered and waiting to leave Lesbos for Athens but were unable to find ferry tickets due to fully booked ships.
The government has chartered two ferries to transport the migrants, but with thousands of new arrivals each day, they have not been enough.
Mr Galinos said he had proposed extra ferries as well as charter flights to defuse the overcrowding on the island. “I don’t need one ship, I need a fleet,” he said

An except from Sir John Glubb's "The Fate of Empires and Search for Survival" (1978):
(a) We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced.
(b) In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness.
(c) This average has not varied for 3,000 years. Does it represent ten generations?
(d) The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be:
The Age of Pioneers (outburst)
The Age of Conquests
The Age of Commerce
The Age of Affluence
The Age of Intellect
The Age of Decadence.
(e) Decadence is marked by:
Defensiveness
Pessimism
Materialism
Frivolity
An influx of foreigners
The Welfare State
A weakening of religion.
(f) Decadence is due to:
Too long a period of wealth and power
Selfishness
Love of money
The loss of a sense of duty.
(g) The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors.
(h) Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes.
(i) History should be taught as the history of the human race, though of course with emphasis on the history of the student’s own country.

Why do these people behave like 'animals' anywhere they go?
We pick them up off the shores of Libya, bring them into Europe, offer them Asylum and then what happens?
they let them through Greece, Macedonia and onto Austria and Germany... look whats happening, they refuse food and water... wont be long before they start rampaging in Austria and Germany!
I think it would have been best to put them into those camps! You can flame me all you want but i think that would have been the best option. Maybe even put them on a train that they say will take them to the border of Austria and Germany but instead take them to the camps (If the aren't willing to go there on their own) , hold them there until they learn how to behave and once syria has been liberated from the scum rebels, queda and ISIS, they can go back home.
why is the msm in the UK ignoring these news articles from Spain, Greece, Italy and France?

But the question is, do only illegal immigrants, mostly Muslims, feel resentment and a sense of entitlement?

I don't understand the entitlement attitude. smh
If people storm into someone else's country, then demand, demand, demand and cause chaos that is a recipe for disaster.
I understand when people flee, but when they have a bad attitude instead of a grateful one, then it looks really bad for those seeking refuge.

Dunno why so many immigrants are fleeing to the west these days.
Hell China is where all the money and 'opportunities' are these days.
And will be for the foreseeable future.

That's actually a good idea. Doesn't China have handful of ghost cities scattered around waiting for people to habit them? Just give one of those to refugees and they could start a new life there.

Europe is having to come up with plans on the fly... why should they bear the brunt of the responsibility? This is a western created problem, in large part. Shouldn't the leader of the Western world be the ones helping the most?
