Trumps plan depends on his audience. One days it is not tax increases for anybody and a few days later it taxes higher for hedge fund runners. Next week it will be catered to whomever he is talking to then.

Well they are actually going to release a written policy in the next 2-4 weeks. What will you say then?

Trump can say anything he likes because he knows that he will be gone by Xmas and Jeb will take his place. Sabotaged just like Ron Paul was.

There is no way in hell the GOP will nominate Trump imo. Without the Hispanics and women the Republicans are stuck in the loser class, again, and Trump has already alienated them. Trump could make a 3rd party bid...Ross Perot ring a bell?

Another losing situation for the Republicans, sorry....

Trump is the GOP ONLY way of defeating Hillary in 2016. Well unless they put her in Jail

Theres no way that would happen, they will destroy him before he ever gets that far, the media has been pretty quiet on all his contradictions, and his lies, and background and waffling etc etc......

You can bet when its game time they will utterly decimate him with all of that.......they are saving it for that purpose......

Besides theres much better candidates than Trump, once we see more debates , mark my words youll see his numbers drop drastically

Truth be known John Kasich would probably BE the best of all the candidates on all sides but he will never get enough support. Ill take Trump throwing a wrench in the works over Hildabeast and Twig (little Bush).

Well that right there should be the difference... I'm sorry but Trump is NOT trying to become president for $$$.. He's got plenty of money...

He's trying to become president for legacy and what better way of developing legacy than to go completely against the grain after becoming president.

I don't doubt for one second that Trump won't try to do exactly what he claims he will try to do.

The main question in my mind is how far will he get, and will he survive through his first term.

The last time someone got elected to president and didn't go with the flow, he got his brains splattered all over his wife and friend.

A flat rate 25% to all levels makes sense. To a rich person, who got there by clinging to every penny, it will hurt just as much as those eating mac and cheese every night. Add a flat 10% sales tax on everything sold.

Or a flat 30% tax on everything sold, including necessities. Include it in every price. No surprises.

Any percentage is fair to everyone who loses that much. Don't let anyone tell you different. Tax is unfair either way but hey.

It saddens me that we, as a nation, are even discussing Trump. He is like Palin all over again, except swap in money instead of jesus. Same unawareness, same blathering without any knowledge of the topic at hand, same emotional rage over being questioned, same over-confidence. Such a drag, the whole bit of it. Our reality-tv country loves a pathetic reality-tv spectacle. And the lowest common denominator identifies with his happily arrogant (& ignorant) approach, which should tell you something about our populace.

So being a billionaire, he's going to raise taxes for himself? Right. Keep money out of politics. Especially billionaires...

The thing about Donald Trump is that he doesn't have to be blackmailed by the people financing his run for president. Since he can finance himself, he can do what he wants even if it is unpopular with the donor class.

This is for those who believe Trump is riding in on a white horse to save us.

All US presidents are related to the royal bloodlines, yes even Obama, and now even Trump and Hillary.

You can trace back the heritage of ALL 44 US presidents to royal bloodlines, with 34 of them having one common ancestor, Charlemagne the eight century king. Here is a story in todays news that links both Trump and Hillary as 19th cousins with King Edward III being a common ancestor. BTW, 19 of our past presidents are decedents of King Edward III making Hillary and Trump related to 19 past presidents. It's curious that the mainstream media does not ever point these facts out.

If you think Donald Trump is a lone ranger that's going to rescue us from the criminal enterprise of the divine right of kings I have a bridge to sell you.

Trump, Hillary Distant Cousins, Say Genealogists

Would you believe that Dick Cheney and Obama are cousins?

Donald DONT need anymore money. He wants to make History. He is 70 years old. He is legitimately going to try and make America great again. He wants to be in the History books. His motives may be self aggrandizing ones but none the less his goals are aligned with cleaning up our corrupted nation and government.

Making America Great is Donald's last Hotel.

No longer will hedge fund managers pay less tax than their secretary or janitor!

That could not be further from the truth.

They don't pay 'less' tax.

From property tax which is an income TAX.

The MEDICARE SURTAX on capitol GAINS.

Capitol Gains TAX is NOT the same thing as a tax on SALARY.

As the financial crisis of the W admin should have taught everyone 'wall street' wealth can be wiped out in a matter of seconds.

Tax more of nothing is NOTHING.

On another note Trump is parroting what Obama,Warren, and Sanders, and CLinton aka the left has been doing for decades.

You guys realize that we have nothing but Trumps word for his net worth, he lost a court case against a guy who he sued for claiming he wasn't a billionaire, and even by his own numbers he would have to spend every liquid dollar he has AND double his personal debt load just to spend slightly less money than Hillary will?

He can't do whatever he wants- he can't even really run a full race on his own dime. I've met billionaires, I've been to their homes on business, because my job was sizing up who belongs there and who doesn't. I've even had to help one figure out whether a certain woman was his wife or just his daughter in law (yeah the billionaire I met literally was demented)... Trump isn't their kind. He's the kind who follows them around and is allowed in by appointment only.

There's no way a man who specializes in promising things he can't pay up on and leaving others holding the bag and being celebrated for it is going to rock the boat for a system built on privilege and unaccountability.

Yeah right, Trumps gonna raise taxes on himself and his cronies...

As if politicians never lie their butts off during campaign season...

Talk about sheeple...

Trump actually has a long record of advocating for high taxes on people as wealthy as himself, remember even though he's running as a Republican he's ultra liberal. In 1999 for example as an alternative to Clintons budget (which generated a surplus and would have paid off the national debt sometime around 2009) Trump and others he got to sign on to his plan was pushing for a 1 time wealth confiscation of something like 20% starting with the richest person in the country and going down person by person until the national debt was paid off (not too different from what happened in Cyprus). Say what you want about Trump but his stance on taxes has been pretty consistent for decades.

Honestly it shouldn't even be a surprise. The amount of money you have is completely irrelevant to how wealthy you are. If you have 1 million dollars but it took you 50 years to earn that, you aren't suddenly rich. A measurement of wealth is in how fast you can generate new income, having money taken doesn't matter if you can get more quickly. If Trump were to suddenly pay 25% of his net worth in taxes it wouldn't even matter, with the exponential rate at which wealth is generated that sets him back a year... it's completely irrelevant.

Look when he shows up. 88 he positions to go into the republican primary with Bush but doesn't actually run against him. 2000 he's in the reform party running against the guys who can get to right of GDub- just coincidentally positioned to protect George II from losing the way his father did. 2004 suddenly he is a democrat would not challenge Bush but rather challenge Bush's challengers. He's only even threatened to pretend to be interested in one presidential election that didn't have a Bush in it.

To be fair, there has been a Bush in just about every election in the past 36 years. 80, 84, 88, 92, 2000, 2004, 2016, and the name Bush was invoked more times in 2008 and 2012 than Reagan was so it's kind of like there was a Bush there too in spirit.

So if I'm making $20,000 and have to spend 100% of my income I pay 30%.

Someone who makes $20,000,000 and maintains a very nice lifestyle only spend $2,000,000 then pays 30% on that while investing the other 90% of their income. They pay 3%. Unless you are advocating also putting that same 30% tax on every Wall Street transaction?

I was raised and still live 15-minutes from him and have watched/listened to him being interviewed on the local news station over the past 3 decades, since 1983, a news station that is not aired outside the NYC Metro area, that includes NY/NJ/CT (Tri-State). Trump has a very looong history of saying one thing and doing another. He's full of hot air.

In all fairness, it's true, if he said he was going to create or build something, he built it. But that's because his name was going on it and it contributed to his wealth. But that 'I make good things happen' attitude won't apply to anything where he doesn't stand to gain and benefit tremendously. He just wants the fame and power. He already has the fortune. He's a power-hungry narcissist who thinks it's okay to hurl insults and bark out orders and demands.

I don't believe for a second that he's going to piss off his rich elitist friends... not gonna happen.

If he were elected POTUS he might claim he has raised taxes on the rich and reduced taxes for the poor, and he'll be a master at creating that illusion, but in reality that will not have occurred. Don't let his high-achiever demeanor and go-getter mentality fool you into thinking he's going to make things happen like no other POTUS. Trump does nothing, and I mean nothing where the pay-off isn't great and he doesn't stand to benefit and gain enormously.

FWIW, aside from being pathological liars, narcissists are known for making empty promises... part of the disorder.

This is bigger than having your name on a Hotel. Making America great again as President of the United States and cleaning up the corruption will PUT his name in History books which is WAY bigger than having your name on a building. 100 years from now if Donald don't become President no one will even know who he was. That is his personal motivation.

Donald wants to be remembered for having Made American Great again. You just don't understand him is all. he is a 70 year old billionaire who needs nothing. He sets goals and achieves them that is what he does and right now his goal is to become US President and bring the US out of the gutter.

I understand narcissism and know he's a (NPD) narcissist, which is a very serious mental disorder that negatively impacts and affects others, but not the narcissist -- he has all 7 traits. Really, that's all we need to know.
