There's no other choice anyway.

Trump reminds me of Ross Perot, only more flamboyant. Maybe times have changed enough where America will elect it's first Businessman to the Presidency? The Demographics in this country are much different today than they were in 1992 and 1996, when Perot ran.

Well, honestly no one should pay attention or believe what anyone says when they run for election.

There is a difference between talking and walking. The majority of candidates talk, but never walk when they become president. Don't forget, they're in this for the money and or money is what controls them and their actions.

This is great.
Trump says he is going to fix something and most of you say that he's "just campaigning".

Bernie says he is going to fix something and suddenly he's different?

Bernie has a consistent track record in politics, Trump has dropped from all previous political races he has entered. I hope that helps you to understand why Trumps statements are questionable, otoh it is nice to see Trump stating the obvious!

I totally agree.
I have no horse in this race, but wanted to point out those posters that fail to use their own logic.

It seems asinine to say that Trump is "just campaigning", yet turn around and say that their candidate is doing something other than. It makes no sense.

They're ALL campaigning, of course they are!

Bernie, Trump, Hillary (damage control), Jeb ect......

People will believe anything.
Take a look at the things obama promised and then look at what he was able to accomplish. Not saying it was his fault just that words are easy, deeds are not.
Same goes for every president.
Everybody bristles at a few choice buzz words like "rich" and "corporations" even though he hasn't got the power to change everything the says.
It's campaigning, nothing more.

Not to defend Obama, but I believe that the Presidents go into things thinking that they can change the way things are done only to find that they are just a cog in a well-oiled machine. I am not convinced that Obama (and Trump) don't think they can change things. I simply believe that when they get in to office they find they aren't in charge of anything.

Trumps plan depends on his audience. One days it is not tax increases for anybody and a few days later it taxes higher for hedge fund runners. Next week it will be catered to whomever he is talking to then.

Trump can say anything he likes because he knows that he will be gone by Xmas and Jeb will take his place. Sabotaged just like Ron Paul was.

There is no way in hell the GOP will nominate Trump imo. Without the Hispanics and women the Republicans are stuck in the loser class, again, and Trump has already alienated them. Trump could make a 3rd party bid...Ross Perot ring a bell?

Another losing situation for the Republicans, sorry....

That track record really doesn't boast too much to me.
GovTracker

But, to each his own I guess.
It really depends on which stats you want to pull up and what factors a person is looking for I reckon.
To be fair, I haven't looked into him too much myself.
I'll be doing that now.....gotsta edumacate myself.

Correct...His platform is more of a parody of policy than real. Well suited for SNL.

Trump’s tax plan would save his family billions

Obama is a politician he doesn't want to get dirty and do what it would take to make change happen. Donald on the other hand is not of that breed.

It will be a real shame if we waste this opportunity to put an intelligent non politician in office for 4 years. That in itself would be huge change.

Read his lips, no old taxes! You realize Trump is only there to get Bush off the hook for being a soft spoken moderate right?

Look when he shows up. 88 he positions to go into the republican primary with Bush but doesn't actually run against him. 2000 he's in the reform party running against the guys who can get to right of GDub- just coincidentally positioned to protect George II from losing the way his father did. 2004 suddenly he is a democrat would not challenge Bush but rather challenge Bush's challengers. He's only even threatened to pretend to be interested in one presidential election that didn't have a Bush in it.

He is gonna vanish along with most of the money and energy of the far right and disenchanted republican grass roots, leaving the mainstream candidate standing alone.

If your primary is after March First, voting for Trump isn't even going to be an option.

One other dead giveaway. Did you notice how Trump attacks Bush the same way Bush promotes himself- by pointing out his wife?

The emotional investment that the right wing has placed on the Trump candidate is truly astonishing. Especially being that Trump is so far from the Christian right that it isn't even funny....well maybe it is.

They are willing to forgive Trump's flip flopping past, his misogamy, bankruptcy leaving his creditors holding the bag, not very biblical imo. Perhaps it says more about the Christian Right than it does about the Donald.

The right claims he is not a politician but a businessman....how many times has the run for the POTUS?

Theres no way that would happen, they will destroy him before he ever gets that far, the media has been pretty quiet on all his contradictions, and his lies, and background and waffling etc etc......

You can bet when its game time they will utterly decimate him with all of that.......they are saving it for that purpose......

Besides theres much better candidates than Trump, once we see more debates , mark my words youll see his numbers drop drastically
